I have 2 kids. Twitch and Gizmo. I got them when they was 5 weeks old kittens, they are now 5 months shy of 3 yrs. They are from the same litter. Both cats love to lick me. Twitch licks from nose to forehead and Gizmo eyebrows, earlobes, and top portion of neck. Giz started it when he was about 1 yr and Twitch aprox 1 1/2 yr. Both was fixed about 7-8 months ago. The licking didnt stop when they was fixed. Giz also after he is done licking me will headbutt me and then lay his forehead up against my chin or neck and lay there for a while. My question is.....Why do they do this? and 2nd is it somehow harmful to them. I dont think it is but wanted to check. It doesnt really bother me but just wanted to make sure its not hurting my babies in some way and also was curious as to why they do this. And for all the smarta** out there.....yes I do bath daily so its NOT due to me being dirty or anything. Thanks!

I got her about 2 weeks ago , and her name is Shay ( short for shadow) cause everywhere my dog, sadie goes she goes, she is alert and eats well and loves to cuddle, she is the runt of the litter her littermates were twice her size, she uses the litter box very well , she knows when she is hungry , and she eats 3 to 4 times a day, she watches everything we do , and follows us around and will cuddle up with you , but she doesn't look like she is growing, and she doesn't play at all,

Is it ok when I take my kitten to get fix, can I get him fix and put a chip in him and get all his shots in one day or should I do them one at the time , I'm not getting him declawed cause I think that'a cruel, What do you think should I do that all at once or one at the time, I really care about my kitty and I want him to be happy and safe , I have all the money to do all that. Thanks .

Thank you all, in advance for responding and for your answers =-)

I have adopted a preg cat a few months ago and now I am ready to give the kittens to there new owner, however I couldn't tell which were boys and girls when they were born and I still can't really see anything that is a tell-tale sign as to the sex.

Do you know how I could tell the diffrence?

P.S some of the kittens have, what seem like little nipples, on tthere chest, and I was thinking only girls have nipples but I want tto be sure.

I hope there is someway to verbally explain it because if not I'll have to take a 40 min drive to the vet. (I had my fiance take thim there 3 weeks ago but he 4got to ask which were boys and girls) LOL Men.

Thanks again all, and God Bless

She's not with her mother anymore, and she wasn't taken from her mother prematurely (I have her brother too). She does this when she's really sleepy or wakes up and wants to go back to sleep. How can I get her to stop? She keeps waking me up at night!

My feeling is that the answer is no. But why is this? If a woman has her ovaries removed she will not suddenly become asexual. Does a cat no longer have any interest in the opposite sex when it has been neutered?

i've heard rumors that cats are bad for women for some reason...i've always wanted to have a cat as a pet, but my dad insists that it would be bad for my sister, and doesn't let me get one.....anybody know if its true and can you provide real "medical" proof so that i could show my pops and finally get a cat?

My cat is neutered since last tuesday. He's 7 motnhs old.

I used to give him food for kitten (dry food from Purina One).
I know there are food design for neutered cat. Should I give him that now, or can he still eat the kitty food and then (when the box will be empty) can I switch with adult food ?

Whats the best way to stop a house cat from peeing where they shouldn't, mine keeps going in a corner despite all attempts to train her, we've put down plastic matting to stop it from staining (we have wooden lanament flooring through out) . Also how to remove the odour without using strong chemicals, i heared of using other house hold ingrediants but i've never found a good example.

I just switched to Innova Evo for my two kittens (6 and 5 months)...the oldest one is fine, however, the younger one has been having diarrhea. Will it go away? He doesn't seem to be eating different and he is just as active. Please help!

My 3 year-old Bichon has started yelping when I pick her up. It happens when I put my hand under her rump to support her. I noticed tonight her left leg has a better reflex then the right leg when I press on her paw. The right leg has little or no reflex. Her eyes seem to show pain. I wish she could talk. Anyone with the same experience?

My boyfriend and I really want to adopt a kitten, but he lives in a 450 square foot studio apartment. Is is mean or inhumane to keep a cat in such small quarters. Any advice would be a help! Thanks!

Every time I take a bath, she hops up on the tub and cries until I pet her with my wet hands. Once she is completely wet she jumps down and grooms herself clean. I guess since she doesn't have another cat friend to groom her, I am the next best thing.

Tell me something funny about your pet(s)!
