The females will have a kind of slit (their vulva aka where they pee. lol) and the males will have a circle.

Congratulations on the litter. Bet they're sweeties. Both genders have nipples, just like humans do in both genders. First, take a good look at Mom's area, and an adult tomcat, if you have access to both. Then looking at the kitten from the back, move the tail to the side. If you try to lift the tail straight up, the kitten will resist as this can be uncomfortable. On females the anus and vaginal area are closer, then the male.
The female will have a slit shaped vaginal area and the male's genitial area will be round. So the male will have a round anal area and a round area where the penis is housed. Compare to the mom and see what I mean. Hope this helps

i've had boys and girls and i have to say boys are my favourite. girls are lovely but i've found tend to be more independent. boys are more affectionate. my cat now is a boy and he's the more beautiful and loving cat i've ever had. if your getting a kitten maybe think about getting 2 a girl and a boy from the same litter, then they have company and someone to play with. whatever you do do not declaw the kitten, it is horrendously cruel cats need there claws for climbing. just get a scratching post. with a boy having him fixed should make him less Territorial, aggressive and hopefully will stop any spraying. good luck

Hi, just wanted to confirm that both boys & girls have nipples.
There's another good site with a picture showing the difference here - http://manamousiamese.tripod.com/id22.html
& another picture:

Generally the boy's openings are farther apart than the girls - fortunately, you have more than one kitten so you should be able to see some differences.
I must tell you though that sometimes it is quite difficult to tell & even vets can make mistakes - lol.
However, if your little guys are all destined for pet homes then maybe the new owners won't really mind if you make a mistake - because, after all, they'll get them neutered in due course.
Good luck with & to the little ones.

Not by the nipples! I have 5 cats and 1 hat several litters already you have to check from the back end. Lift the kittens tale up if below the rectum there are 2 furry balls close together may appear as one little furry clump on kittens this is the Male. On female there is only the rectal area nothing below there.
Good luck and I hope they find happy homes.

Male cats have teats as well so that is not a tale tell sign. male cats have a testicle sack just under the butthole, major tell tale sign. Even as kittens, especially old enough to be going home, it will be obvious which is which. Kittens should not be given away until at least 8 weeeks of age.

both male and female cats have nipples - since you've already taken them to the vet, and would rather not take them again if you can give it a week the boys should have... well, dropped by then. they normally drop between 2 & 3 months old
for the first month we got our first kitten i swore it was a girl because it had nipples - then when it was about 2 1/2 months old... yeah, DEFFINATELY a boy.

The easiest way to explain it is that, basically male and female cats both have two holes, in girls they are very close together and in males they are further apart. When they are young it is harder to do, but much easier if you have a comparison! Look at what you think are a boy and a girl next to each other and you should be able to see!

Take your index and middle finger and spread the fur around the area, pressing down gently yet firm and look. If it a girl there may be a noticeable opening. If it a boy you may see the beginning of Testicles or a very small protruding thing that try to stick out as you press down on both sides. Best I know.

Sometimes even when kittens are 3 months old the vet cannot tell the difference. You need to wait until the tell-tale signs are there before you can be sure.
I was given a brother and sister, never looked, and was subsequently embarrassed when the vet told me I had two sisters!
