My cat is an outdoor cat. She used to live inside, but my parents made her start living outside. She is declawed and I feel really bad for her, because she has no way to defend herself. Yesterday my dad went hunting and when he came home he found her laying next to the house. Her left eye is stuck closed and its all watering and her bottom lip is all scraped up and bloody, but the vet is closed. I don't know what happened to her, but I think she might of been attacked by a raccoon and I think she may have rabies now, because she isnt acting like herself at all. She is drooling and making really wierd breathing sounds and she is really shy now. She won't respond to any noise at all, but I dont think she likes light. I don't know what to do. Right now we have her in a little kennel and I put some water in there for her and my dad bought some soft cat food for her, but I dont know if she can eat it, because of her mouth. What should I do?!?!?! My parents told me to forget about her...

Is that normal? Do cats poo everyday or have certain days to poo like humans?

My male siamese cat is just 3 years old, he's an indoor cat, always has been.. but in the middle of the night he will just sit in front of any random door of the house and cry and cry and cry. But refuses the attention when i wake up and try and give him some..I heard it's natural considering it's a siamese but only when we're trying to sleep ... what's this mean?

I was holding my 10 week old kitten today and noticed this really really tiny black thing crawling deep under all his fur on his skin. Are these fleas?

Also, does this mean the other two (11yrs and 8 months) will have fleas too? :(

I switched him off of Iams to a Royal Canin special diet not too long ago, as the Iams was making him scratch himself horribly and also diaherra, the "Sensitivity Control" from RC solved both. But not the bizarre licking thing.

He's a 12 year old persian.

Advice? If it's minerals he's missing, any recommendation on a supplement (he doesn't do pills)

Thanks!

Yesterday, we lost our dog of 12 years, suddenly to lung cancer. (Diagnosed on Tues. passed on Friday). Our cat has literally grown up with the dog in the house and were the best of friends.

Now I'm worried she's suffering with grief and depression. I've looked it up and she's shown signs of the grieving process (anxiety, depression, and being overly needy and friendly for her "norm")

I've tried to keep her routine as normal as possible and have been trying to give her as much love and attention as I can seeing as how I'm grieving, too.

She's eating and drinking still, but I'm so worried she's going to grieve herself to death.

So, my question is this. What are some ways to try to make this easier for her? (Other than getting a new dog/cat, I'm just not emotionally ready for that)

I just saw he had an erection, but he just got fixed. Does this mean the surgery wasn't done right?

My cat Deuce will fall over if you push her with one finger, sigh loudly when you disturb her nap, or yelp when the dog walk by her or you step over her to walk into the next room. Is she just strange or do other cats do this?

Have a 14 month old long haired cat who has recently lost his mate...he was shouting a lot through the week looking for him, but now he has quietened down a little and appeared to be getting back to normal over the last few days. Problem now is that he is pooping all over the place and when he is done he drags his backside along the carpet/kitchen floor and even outside. Help, had many cats but never seen this problem.

I was at work today (04nov06) and found a stray female long-haired siamese kitten. now, i have had cats before, but it was many years ago that they were kittens and i was too young to learn about any processes. I have a dog, so the kitten is in isolation in my bedroom to prevent the kitten from spreading any diseases/fleas/etc she might have. i will be making a vet appointment come monday morning, but i would like some advice on what to do. i went out and bought her a new litter box and food and water dish (a "kitten starter kit" lol). i also gave her a warm water bath, but i don't have any shampoo. one of my coworkers will be giving me some shampoo come monday and i will be thoroughly shampooing her after work. I don't know how old she is or if she has been trained. She has her baby teeth, is very fluffy, and extremely affectionate. Any advice would be helpful, especially in getting my dog and the new arrival used to each other. thanks.

Last week I brought home a stray cat. She is the sweetest most loving cat I have ever seen. I took her to my grandma's tonight and there is another cat there. She got really pissy when she saw this male cat. Her whole personality changed and when I picked her up to take her home she bit my hand in between my thumb and forefinger. She drew a little bit of blood. I washed it right away. Should I worry about this? No, I have not taken her to the vet yet. We just brought her home. She does not show any signs of having rabies and I had my last tetnus shot 9 years ago. Thank you for any help you can give me.

I have two other cats that eat their cat food just fine. I just have one female cat that refuses to eat cat food. The other cats give her a weird look. Will dog food hurt her? She loves the stuff!

I know that it sounds quite odd. However i recently discovered that one of my male cats had "raped" so to say my other male cat. I have three cats in total, one of them female. How come he didnt choose the female? None of them are fixed, as they are rescue cats, and were so young that I thought that i had more time, before.... Anyways, if anyone can help me i would be more then greatful. Thank you for your time.

I just noticed my cat has little rice like looking worms coming out of her butt. I dont get paid till the end of the month, but i'm wondering how long can they go without getting treatment. I cant even guess how long she's had them. What are they doing inside her, does it hurt them. Also i know i can take her to the vet but i would think that would cost to much is there some store medicine i can just but them...im in the bay area, california if that helps on were i can go and buy some.
