I threw the bag away so I can't look at what they recommend. We were feeding them Nutro, but it was giving our little boy really bad gas.

Feed your cat a high-quality, brand-name kitten or cat food (avoid generic brands). Kittens can be fed human baby food for a short time if they won't eat kitten food softened by soaking in warm water. Use turkey or chicken baby food made for children six months and older. Gradually mix with cat food. Cow's milk is not necessary and can cause diarrhea in kittens and cats. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Wash and refill water bowls daily.

Kittens 6 to 12 weeks old - 4 meals a day
Kittens 3 to 6 months old 3 meals a day
Kittens 6 months to 1 year 2 meals a day
Cats 1 year old and above 1 meal a day

The food should be slightly moistened with water. Fresh water should also be offered at all times. The dry food should be moistened until the kitten is about five to six months old. Do not moisten the food with milk.

I would offer them the canned food and then leave the dry food out all the time in a bowl separate fron the canned food, and let them eat as much of the dry food as they want. Cats rarely ever overeat, healthy kittens never overeat. Kitten chow is an okay food, I raised many kittens with it. If youre concerned about nutrition, mix a tablespoonful of vanilla yogurt in with the canned food, yogurt is very nutritious and also gives baby animals enzymes and beneficial digestive bacteria. Also have a bowl of water for the kittens at all times, that they can easily reach (shallow bowls are safer than tall bowls for kittens of that age, a small kitten can fall into a deep bowl and possibly drown). Just a note, watch out for yarn or long pieces of string, etc, kittens will put things like that into their mouths and because they have barbs on their tongue that point backward, once something like a piece of yarn gets in their mouth, they can't spit it out and so will swallow it and end up needing surgery to remove it.

Feed your kitten 4-6 cases an afternoon of KMR. three times an afternoon isn't sufficient. the suitable feeding quantity according to weight must be on the KMR equipment-divide that into 4-6 feedings (weigh your kitty with a ouncesscale a minimum of as quickly as each and every 2-3 days). actual, kittens ought to eat until eventually they're finished. additionally, start to place a clutter container out and provide pans of mushy kitten nutrition for them to flavor. Stimulate her to potty with a heat moist cotton ball each time you feed her. effervescent on the mouth is a foul indication of fullness and ability that too a lot is being taken into the mouth at as quickly as. if this happens get a nipple with a smaller beginning.

Kitten Chow is crap. They do not need canned food. Switch to a better quality dry. Look and make sure CORN is not the first ingredient. It is not digested and is just pooped out. They will eat less, and therefore poop less if they eat a better food.

Then just leave the food out for them 24/7. Cats are good free choice eaters.
