Your cat will probably try to find a dark, comfortable spot where she can have her kittens in private. If she needs help, she will let you know. Otherwise, just let her do her own thing and don't bother her. That's how nature works.

Most cats know what they are doing. It would be best if she was put in a room whith a box with towels in it, where she cannot get into a closet or under something where you cannot see her. Once in a while the cat really gets upset and drops her kittens all over the place, so watching her (not hanging over her) is a good idea. When the kittens are born they are in a sac and the mother removes it and cleans the baby. We had a cat who had her babies one right after the other and my daughter had to take the sac off one and we had to rub it and work to get it to breathe. Unfortunately one was not freed from the sac early enough and we could not get it to breathe. Also, if the babies do not come out normally the mom may need help. It would be a good idea to look up birthing on your computer so you will be ready if anything should happen

If things go normally you should not have to do anything.

THEN HAVE HER SPAYED!!!!!

Find the mum to be a nice quiet spot. Give her a box with soft bedding.Towels are good cause you can wash them after. Keep as many people away as possible. If this is her first time she may be a little confused and need reassurance. I just sat with mine and patted her and talked to her. Don't be worried if she growls at her stomach. Mine did when she had contractions.
Keep some hand towels close by as you can use these to clean up the babies and to help get them going. If the mother cat doesn't start cleaning them herself. Her rough tongue cleans and helps get them breathing.
Also, if it's a first litter expect a few not to make it. Sad, but that's the way it goes.
Do a quick search on the web for assisting a cat with birth. And finally, instincts should kick in 98% of the time so give puss a chance before interfering.
Good luck! And let us know how you went.

Put the cat in a quiet place and the cat will do everything else. Do not touch the kittens when they are born let the mother cat clean up the mess. They always do.

Close the doors to all the rooms in the house as the cat will go for an area to have her babies, maybe on or under your bed. Take the mom cat to a quiet area with a box full of towels for her to be comfortable. She will have her babies on her own....lots of howling but they will be ok.

Keep her inside wher you are prepared for her to have her kittens Some where quiet give her a box with plenty of newspaper torn up so she can nest a kitty litter tray and her food and water.
If you let her out she will most certainly head for the most difficult place to retreive her from. Let her be on her own as much as possible she will do ok

Nothing. Leave the cat alson. It does not need some nervous idiots hanging around making her anxious!!!

Spay the cat when the kittens are 6 weeks. The world does not need more clueless owners letting more kittens into the world!!

I'd make up a bed for her where she can be in a closed room and just leave her alone. Cats deliver their own with no help from us. The closed door is to keep her room moving her newborn anywhere.

This should help you and your Mom. When all is said and done, please get the cat spayed.
