How do you know a cat has an earache??????????? Most cat ear problems are caused by mites. Infections are less common, but they do occur, and usually cleaning all the crud out and then antibiotic ear drops are in order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not go medicating the cat yourself. A dose or two of Keflex isn't going to do much and that is really never used for ear infections in cats. It is not like in babies.
See a vet.

No. DO NOT DO IT. Did you know that if you only take a partial dosage of antibiotics and abruptly stop taking it...that you can cause a heart attack? This is in both humans and animals. NEVER. For the cat's earache...try researching some home remedies instead. Sounds like I would take some hydrogen peroxide and flush her ears lightly until you can get to the vet on Monday. Glad you asked before doing it. By the way...why do you have left over antibiotics anyhow? It is IMPERATIVE if you are prescribed that you take AS DIRECTED until done...not quit on your own cuz you feel better. Ok? Ohope you learned something today. Take care and hug kitty!

Absolutely not. You are in no way qualified to dose your cat with left-over anitbiotic which shouldn't be left over anyway.

How do you know he has an earache? If he is showing great distress he should go to the emergency vet tonight.
