In owr age of overppulation, cats become increasingly important as a substitute for children, as an object of maternal love etc. At the same time they are clean, not noisy, do not smell...

Frances has been sick for a few days--trouble passing a hairball. She is all better now, I'm happy to say. But between vomiting and attempts to give her medicine, there's a lot of gunk in her fur that we need to clean off. If I have to bathe her, I will, but it seems to me she's been through enough trauma lately! Is there a way I can "spot-clean" her gently that will work? Please share your ideas. Thanks.

My 1 1/2 year old cat has just started a really annoying habit of chewing on things. She sits and gnaws on cardboard boxes and potato chip bags. I don't know if her teeth hurt or if she's just discovered the crackly noise it makes. None of my cats have ever done this before. Maybe she just does it because I told her to stop it. Suggestions?

My cat was spayed on 17th October - and the vet did a fine job of shving her tummy. The fur is barely growing, and she still has a little white tum! How long did it take your female cats hair to grow back? It seems to be taking forever

Has anyone used any OTC ear mite medication that worked well on their cats? If so, where was it purchased?

I clean the solid stuff out at least 2 times a day, but was wondering what the recommendation is when it comes to dumping out the whole thing and starting fresh.

He is an indoor cat but my sister-in-law has a kitten that has recently caught fleas (he is an outdoor cat) - is it possible that we could have carried them from her house back to our cat??

He usually does it when he goes a bit mad and runs round the house or when we've all gone to bed, as if to say he's lonely.

What does it mean?

Mickey Mouse and Precious have never lived anywhere but here in our Apartment with only patio doors and 2 windows, plus a door opening to hallway. Now we are moving into a ranch style home with attached garage. I am so concerned they will get out because of not liking new home. I am home all the time, I'm disabled, that's why the new house built for my disabilities. Any suggestions to keep these two safe I'd be sick if anything happens to either one, they keep me going?

My girlfriend took her to a vet about a month ago and he said that she is allergic to fleas. He gave her a shoot and said that should fix it but it seemed to get alittle better then its got alot worse. She scratches alot but she has a new flea collar and I haven't seen a flea in the house for some time now. She has red dots all over her body, shes loosing her hair, and she has scabs from scratching. I've been cleaning the wounds ever day but they don't seem to really be healing (That might just be because she just scraches them back open.). Also we have 4 other cats but none of them have the same problem. I've also just lost my job and we don't have much money so going back to the vet is not really something we can afford. I'm not sure what to do. Is there some medicine I can buy for her that is cheap? Please help.

Thank You,
Robert Prine
