Regular milk will give your kitten diarrhea and then it will get dehydrated. So no, don't give your kitty regular milk. Water is the best. But if you want to, go the pet store and get kitten milk. When it's a little older, you can give it Cat Sip which is a milk made especially for cats. It's a small blue carton with a picture of a cat on it. And another tip for a healthy cat: keep it indoors at all times.

Well, real milk is very hard on a kittens digestive system. You can give small, and I mean like 1/4 of a cup, and it won't hurt them, but this shouldn't be an everyday thing. I recommend Mother's Milk if you are going to give it milk at all. (buy at Wal-Mart) If the litten is small, start by wetting the hard food for it or getting soft food to mix with the hard food. If you only feed milk or soft food, the cats teeth will rot out quickly because the hard food has cleaning agents in it to help keep the teeth clean. You also need to make sure the cat has plenty of clean water all of the time. Weather you know it or not, tap water has floride in it and that will help keep little guys teeth clean also.
Good Luck!

Do you know most feral and wild cats never tasted milk in their life?Cats and kittens can drink COW's milk OCCASIONALLY but they do not need to drink it. A cat can easily live its whole life without ever having cow's milk.
Cow's milk should never be the primary or regular food source for any cat or kitten since it is missing many essential ingredients to keep your feline healthy.
Kittens need to drink THEIR MOTHER'S milk while they are nursing. It is full of the fat and protein that they need to grow rapidly and survive.
Some kittens suffer from lactose intolerance just like that of human beings. These cats can be supplemented with lactose free milk that is available in the over-the-counter stores.
If your cat or kitten gets diarrhea as a result of drinking cow's milk, stop giving it milk and it should pass.
I hope this will work a lot for you...

Like humans, many cats and kittens are lactose intolerant. They cannot digest cow's milk properly and they get diarrhea or gastric upset when they drink it. Kittens that become lactose intolerant usually only become intolerant after they are about 3 months of age, so THEIR mother's milk shouldn't cause any gastric upset. If your cat or kitten gets diarrhea as a result of drinking cow's milk, stop giving it milk and it should pass. Some cat owners who have lactose intolerant cats that are 'milkaholics' do occasionally give them lactose free milk. You can find lactose free milk in pet stores. If your cat digests milk without a problem then you can give it the occasional milk treat.
Remember - Cow's milk should never be the primary or regular food source for any cat or kitten since it is missing many essential ingredients to keep your feline healthy.

Please don't feed regular cow's milk to your kitten or cat. It contains an enzyme that they cannot digest and it will give them the runs or worse.
If your kitten is not yet weaned, contact a vet and ask them what kind of replacement formula they recommend.
If s/he is already weaned, then you really don't need to give it milk at all. Just plenty of fresh clean water (change at least once a day) and a good kitten food like Science Diet or Nutro.
Good luck!

Dogs and cats do not have the proper enzymes to properly break down the sugar in milk which is called 'lactose.' You may have heard of people who are lactose-intolerant. They are also missing these digestive enzymes. If the proper enzymes are not present, the lactose remains undigested and tends to ferment in the intestine and cause diarrhea. Some pets can tolerate a little milk, others, none at all. If your pet enjoys and appears to tolerate milk, you can give your pet small amounts. Better yet, give your pet one of the special cat or dog milks on the market that have had the lactose removed

Kittens shouldn't have milk, as it could upset their stomachs. There is specially made "milk" for cats and kittens though, you may want to try that in very small quantities.
Call your veterinarian, they'll give you a booklet all about taking care of a kitten.

The best kind would be the pet milk. No regular milk and no tuna. You should take him/her to the vet and he should give you a list of things to do and not to do with the kitten.
