I would say until he struggles and starts to get upset. If that is happening you are probable hurting him. He will let you know if he hurts or wants down, just listen to him. Please dont squeeze to hard though you want him to have healthy insides.

ok heres a good story ...one time my lil bro decided to squish a baby kitty... its **** all over him...the end... moral of the story hug but dont squish cute little kitties they will get their revenge :D

well im not to sure, but if he stops breathing then you probably should'nt of smothered him that long. i spose if he's dead then you could get him stuffed an then you can hold him as much as you like.
