your vet will go over all the necessary shots with you (in nh rabies vac. is required by law), and do them while the cats there getting neutered. its like a package price and always found it actually cheaper. and CONGRATULATIONS FOR BEING A RESPONSIBLE PET PARENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really depends on the cat's age. If he is going to be neutered at a veterinary clinic they may require that certain shots be given. The rabies vaccination is usually given around six months
Kittens at shelters nowadays are neutered as young as two months of age so they have not completed all their shots and haven't had a rabies shot. If the procedure is being done at a shelter or low-cost facility they might not require that all the shots be given.
Please go to www.littlebigcat.com and read Dr. Jean Hovfe's article titled "Vaccination". It is at the end of the thirty or so articles there. That way you can get some guidelines from a veterinarian. Unnecessary vaccination can lead to problems in the future so they should be kept at a minimum. Especially the leukemia vaccination which is suspect in causing that disease.

My cat's have all their shots before being fixed but that's because they get them when they're too young to be neutered/spayed. You definately should make sure your cat has at least it's rabies shot. If it's an outdoor cat, the feline leukemia shot is pretty much a necessity too. Ask your vet. Shots arent' too expensive in my area but I live in the country and my vet is very reasonable, if cost is a factor, check out the humane society or other animal protection agencies, sometimes they'll do the shots and neutering for a small fee or sometimes free.

Yes, it's for your own cats protection, too. Usually it is the rabies shot, the feline leukemia shot (if they go outside EVER) and distemper shot.

I rescued a stray and got her chipped and neutered, the vaccinated a few weeks afterwards, (as I could not afford it all in one go!) just as long as you get it done sooner rather than later, I don't think it really matters

depends where you live as to what shots you need (different diseases in different countries)
usually if they dont have all their shots the vets will give them at that time but you will need to booster them..
good for you for neutering!

would recommend it! but it is not necessary! well, kinda depends on your state! some states will not let you fix your animal unless it has it's rabies!! if this is the case, don't worry! they can give it when you drop it off to be fixed!!
