Even if your cat is an indoor cat he still needs flea treatment, worming and vaccinations - especially if you are in contact with other cats.
It could be a skin irritation or a behavioural problem, please get him looked at by a vet. If its ringworm or scabies you can catch it too.

That is possible. You need to comb through the cat and look for fleas. If he has them then get some Advantage for him right away so that your house doesn't get infested with those nasty creatures. I mean time is of the essence as they reproduce like wildfire.
Put a flea collar in your vacuum cleaner bag so that any fleas or eggs that are vacuumed up will die in the bag.

give him a flea bath...be careful tho..i had a cat i used it on and it had a seizure..was not fun..then also set flea bombs off in the house...and leave for 2 hours then about 3 days later set more flea bombs off and give the cat another bath...i guarntee you the fleas will be gone...i used to have this prob. alot with my cats escaping and then crawling back in the house with plenty of fleas to go around gl !!

well he sounds like he either scratching because he has fleas or he does it because he is nervous or scared of the groomer its stress or he could have a skin rash. It happens. Get a flea collar or the flea shampoo.

I think all cats bite their fur when they're cleaning themselves, it's to get the knots out.
All cats I know do it. But your cat could have fleas aswell, take him to the vets to check.

he is grooming to get rid of itches, fleas and tangles. Use frontline -go to the vet for some asap as he could get other problems

it is possible that your kitten has fleas. he is biting out his fur to try to relieve the itch.
