I have a cat, and I know it has worms but I have been giveing it round worm medicine for the past month. Am I giveing her the right medicine or should I be treating her for a different worm. How much will it cost to go to a vet and get her checked out and medicated? My daughter really loved this cat and if any thing happens she will be devistated!!! so I appreciate the help! thanks

Would you give a former street cat a home?
I've recently set up a website aimed at getting some kitties that live on the street near my place into homes. It has live streaming video of the kitties needing homes at night, and my kitties in the day. For awhile I was getting a good response, but now it's quietened down, and I need to figure out how to get it happening again! Ideas?? It's for a good cause...I"m paying for the desexing etc.... the site is http://www.kittiesinthehood.com
Thanks

My Maine Coon Dixie has learned that the key to opening the door has something to do with the knob. Everytime she wants out, she jumps up and grabs it. I've seen cats on the funny video shows open doors like that and I'm afraid she'll figure it out and get out one day without my knowing. Does anyone's cat open the door like that? She also opens cabinets and jumps into the clothes dryer when I open it (which could end up fatal for her if I don't see her one day and turn it on).

Our cat snores. It sounds like air coming out of a bicycle tire. Her health is fine otherwise though she is slightly overweight. At her last examination, the vet said her weight isn't a problem at this point but we forgot to mention her "serenading".
Does anyone else have a cat that snores? If so, what did you do about it?

I just rescued an abandoned kitten about a week ago. She's been confirmed a female and her health appears to be excellent. I'm retired living on Social Securtiy disability. She'll never go without love or food or a place to stay. I'm just concerned about affording the expenses of shots, and more importantly getting her spayed when the time is right. My fixed income is my only shortcoming when it comes to her medical needs. Can someone offer me some advice? Desperate father/mother wanting to keep his new pet.

I think my kitten is pregnant but she's really young and there's 4 male cats around here. I've never seen them actually doing the deed but I don't watch everything she does when she's outside.

I live in a one bedroom apt. with my cat. We have lived here for about a year and nine months the cat is the same age. My closet doors are mirrored and my cat is out of control. EVERY morning somewhere between 3 and 5 am Lucifur comes into my room and starts pawing at the mirror. I think she sees another cat and wants to play but it is very loud and EVERY morning I have to get up and lock her out of my room which upsets her so she just paws at my door and meows until I open it. I thought it was just a phase she was going through but I am starting to wonder if this is going to be a forever thing. I value my sleep more than anything and am about to lose it if this keeps continuing. Any suggestions? Remember this is a small apt., I have been thinking about getting another cat to see if company makes her less crazy but am not sure my apt. can handle me and two cats and besides I don't want to eventually end up becoming a crazy cat lady, first it's one, then two, then it's too many.

Okay, well last december we got a kitten, and he is very cute and energetic, but he doesnt seem to grow much. He has pretty long legs, but he's small, and i know he isn't at the "right" size because I have two other cats that were a lot bigger at his age. I took him to the vet in May and October, and she said he'd grow, but he never really did. He's not on a diet, because there's constantly food in their bowls. Does he have a disorder or something?

You know those people that always come up with the most unique names for their animals? Well, I'm not one of them! Help me come up with a name for our new kitten. It's a boy, 3mos old...he's short and stocky, a strawberry-blonde Tabby. He's kinda lazy, and LOVES to cuddle. Any suggestions? Please be original. Thanks!

My cat molts a lot so she swallows a lot of fur when grooming herself, so she either vomits it up or it stays in her gut (which is not good). I groom her to get rid of excess hair, but is there a way of stopping her hair from shedding in the first place? if not, do you think it is good to give her cod liver oil (to bring her fur balls up and improve her coat)? thanks

I am seeking a way for stopping pregnancy of my cat. But a way without need to surgery and vet.

I want to give my cat something to eat or ….. I don’t know is there anything?

Please guide me with your knowledge and experience…

I have always heard people say that it is alwys wrong to get a cat declawed and I was just wondering if it is true. In my own opinion if you have nice furniture you would'nt want to get your stuff scratched up.

I dont think this is normal, Im scared to death of cats, I had a puppy and love animals but there's something about cats that makes my skin feel weird, Im allergic to them but I dont think that is the reason why Im so scared, I think their eyes look evil and when I see them stretching OMG! I feel something I cant put into words but it feels horrible. We were babysitting a black cat and I felt awful bacause she was so sweet and kept chasing me but I couldnt be around her first for my allergy and Im pregant so couldnt afford to get sick and then I was scared of her, it was so bad I had to leave to my sister's house until my husband's aunt could come pick her up.
I dont want to feel like this since my husband loves cats and I want my baby to have one when he is older.
