I have had this cat since she was born and have a very close connection with her (I had to bottle feed her and I carried her around in my shirt pocket when she was a kitten). Her father was a licker and now she is too. She will just sit and lick you until it hurts and wont stop. I almost cant even pet her anymore because as soon as I try to show her affection, she starts to lick me.

today I decided to take a stray cat in- I think she is pregnant and she might have been someone's cat ( she's very friendly and smart.) but she looks like she's lived on her own for a while. she's dirty and she has scabbed up wounds.

I'm saving $ to take her to the vet- but for right now I have Lots of questions.
I've never had my own cat- my roomate had one, so i know a bit..
can you tell me why she does these things.

-While I am petting her she climbs up my sholder and rubs the side of her face on mine ( while purring.)
- she lays right next to me and puurs / meows and when I stop petting her
- when I get up , even to go to the bathroom she follows me and waits at the door. If I am up too long she meows.
- She is always looking at me, even if i haven't moved.

- I bought 2 bowls, wet and dry food, cat box and crystal litter, i put her in the box once, and fed her once- will she remember when everything is?
-I put a blanket down- is that okay for now?
Thank you!

a feral companion.

I found him meowing at my window, but when I opened the door to try to take him in, he ran away with the other cat.

Should I just leave him be? I miss him so much.

We have been to two different vets, the first said that it was a urinary tract infection and we tried THREE different antibiotics which worked for a little while then started making her vomit. The next vet told us to change her diet and buy an extra litter box and water dish and that worked for a while and then stopped. She makes frequent trips to the litter box and is only successful some of the time. We did find out the last time that she has crystals in her urine. I am wondering if she may have a rare disease because she is unresponsive to treatment. Have any of you gone through something similar? I hate to see her suffer!

There is a very sweet cat that has been scooting around my apartment - she is soo sweet and friendly i assumed that she had a home, but every night when it is very cold she is out alone.
when I was rubbing her tummy i felt lumps. she has a saggy belly so- i am guessing she is pregnant or ... she has a tumor.

I'm saving $ for a vet visit- but what should I do untill then and after the kitties are born? I dont have any experiece with pregnant animals and i don't have the money to pay for the kitties, or the vet bills for them. I'm willing to keep the mama cat- but I just cant keep the babies.

What should I do? I was thinking of a rescue but- they already have so many stray cats in my area.

any ideas?

Do animals really have allergies? My 5 month old kitten sneezes about 5-7 times in a ROW! Is that allergies? Is there a way to make her stop sneezing?(that sounds funny lol) She unsually sneezes when she's exploring in my closet and under furniture. Thanks!
P.S.-One of her eyes is always teary. Could the sneezing and teary eye be linked?

I am expecting a baby and am worried about how my cat will take it. He is very picky and doesnt take well to change. I LOVE him to death and he is the baby right now and he knows it. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how to make the change easier on my cat? I know i may sound crazy because most people are more concerned about the real baby which of course i am but I am totally worried about my poor kitty! Any suggestions or experiences will be great. PLease dont tell me that my cat will suffocate my baby... i have enough worries.

She's 15 weeks old and she's a siamese ..... she doesn't have worms or anything because i went to the extreme and I disected her poop twice.... I'm scared to deworm her because I don't want her to lose anymore weight... my friend says she's going through a growth spurt but I don't believe that... if she was she would eat more.. I tried giving her chicken ( her fav.) but she wouldn't eat it. We just gave her litter mate to a friend, and she's not skinny. Could she be depressed? My kitty used to be fat and plump but now she's skin and bones. Also we don't inbreed!!! Sorry just getting that out there... I'm worried about her!!!

She has scabs all over from all of the chewing and scratching she does. She does have some fleas but she's not infested. I've tried flea powders, drops, collars, flea shampoo. Nothing seems to help. Im sure she must feel just miserable. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Every time I go to clip her claws she jerks them away or wriggles out from under me or from my hold. I have even tried to do it while she was relaxed. She either does the above or tries to bite my hand. She is an indoor cat and I really need them clipped because she keeps getting stuck on the carpet they are so sharp. I don't want to pay money, though, to have someone else do it. Any suggestions?

My cat has been acting funny the last couple of days, she seem to have a problem with the back end of her and she lays on her belly with her back legs up meowing, she is only 8-9 months old, she was like that once before but then was fine, she seems really connected with us at the minute, i.e: She loves cuddles and craves attention at night time.. is there something wrong with her? I will take her to the vet monday, but i am worried now and is nothing i can do now, any help or advice appreciated.

Dean

ps: She is an indoor cat and has not been hit by a car or anything like that, she never goes outside.

As much as I'd like to think all my cats love me best. I know Whiskers loves my mom best. Pumpkin is in love with my dad and Marmalade is my little baby :)

My first time own two kittens at one time has left me feeling very new to this when in fact I have raised quite a few kittens in my life time. I purchased two male kittens, about 4 months old, from a pet store which apparently takes strays and sells them. The kittens have two very different personalities which is normal of course, but these differences make me feel as though I am neglecting one when paying attention to the other. Though its mostly just motherly worries, my main concern is that the kitt with the younger less dominant personality may not be able to bloom fully into his own personality with his brother being much more in your face and bold and clear about what he wants. Havok (the more timid) mimics what Hazard does, Havok also seems to act out, getting into trouble for attention when it is he who lays off alone. He also shows signs of being slower (mentally) then normal in various aspects. Im afraid he may be better off as an only cat but Id hate to see him go. :( help!
