Yep! We have 3 cats. The male came first (he's 9) and he's the favorite. The 2 females (6 & 2) are more active, especially at night, and tend to rummage through things. They would keep us awake if they slept with us. The male, though, sleeps on the bed at our feet, mostly on my husband's side because I'm a light sleeper, especially compared to hubby who sleeps like the dead. The male tells me when it's bed time and can actually get a little impatient to get into our room. He has his own litter box, food/water in our bathroom. He's so cute and cuddly! He snuggles up under my chin and purrs until I tell him to go lay down on the end of the bed. And to address a previous poster's issue with intimacy and animals in the bedroom, he gets tossed out when that issue comes around. ;-)

There is nothing more relaxing than a nice warm cat or dog snuggled up next to you. It's like getting to sleep with a teddy bear, even though you are all grown up. LOL

You need to get this picture. My room - queen sized bed... I have one cat that likes to curl up around the top of my head on the pillow. Another one lays on the other side of the bed, where a pillow would go if another person were sharing the bed. One cuddles up to my chest and one behind my knees. Another likes to lay at the bottom corner on the other side of the bed. When I roll over, everybody rearranges. It's hysterical.

The funniest thing of all is that, in one of the other bedrooms, our Giant American Chinchilla rabbit gets up on the bed and sleeps snuggled up to my hubby's back (king size bed). A couple of cats sleep there too, but the rabbit won't let anyone but her close to my hubby.

Sleeping snuggled up to a pet is soothing, warm in the winter and in case you kick off your covers with the A/C on in the summer, and they don't snore or make disgusting smells while they sleep.

We used to let our dog sleep on the bed with us when we only had one dog. We got a Siberian Husky as a stray. We felt sorry for her, so when nobody answered the ad we put in the paper for her, we decided to keep her. She had been abused, but with a lot of love and attention, she is really starting to come around and is turning out to be a great dog. About 11 months ago, we adopted a Siberian Husky from the SPCA. Now that we have two dogs (one weighs about 50 lbs, the other weighs close to 90 lbs.) they both sleep on their respective blankets on the floor in our bedroom, right next to our bed.

My room is cat free since I have a parrot in there. My dog sleeps on a pillow next to my bed. He gets on the bed for wrestling and petting but doesn't sleep with us. He weighs about 60 pounds :)

Cat does but my dog stays in the garage at night-was a stray and he is a Lab-mixed with Huskie and was very abused took us a year to get him to come into garage-has a huge fenced pen with a garden shed as a dog house(would not go into a regular dog house) and we put wheat straw in there for him for insulation-he loves it . Also have 2 pet rabbits that are in a bunny proof room-litter trained. it would break the cat's heart where I to shoo her from mye bed. She knows when I turn the Living Room light off that its bedtime and there she comes. She's my little companion for always stays near me, when I come home she's at the door waiting on me meowing until I pet her(greet her for the meowing is her greeting me)Although she is close to my husband and greets him too-always stays on my side of the bed.

Yes, My cat sleeps right between my legs. It drives me crazy some nights when I want to roll over or something because I have to watch out for her. Some nights she sleeps down stairs but majority of the time she's with me.

My cat Garfield (who was a spittin image of the toon Garfield) slept with me almost every night since we brought him home when he was 7 weeks old. The days he didn't, he'd sleep out on the living room couch with his brother, Morris. Garfield had his own spot on my bed with his own blanket. He knew when it was time for bed, too. Sometimes he'd try to stay up to wait for me no matter how tired he'd be. He passed away November 2nd at age 4 and I haven't moved his blanket yet, he meant the world to me.

I used to, but I kept waking up with stiff legs and arms because I would try and move or stretch my legs and they won't move. So I was waking up all night moving cats around and getting very little sleep. So, the door is now shut and no kitties on my bed.
