Almost impossible to poison a cat. Usually shooting them is the only way to kill them. They can survive numerous blows to the head with a pipe or bat, providing they let you get more than one hit in. Owning a large viscious dog will work too. Rottweilers like to eat cats. Gives them stomach problems but it gets rid of the cats.
Why do you not try repellents or live traps and take them to the shelter. So much better than killing them which, by the way, will get you jail time.

I know that you are joking about killing them. If there are cats in your yard and they are pests, then call your local ASPCA. They will either come and set out humane traps for the animals or give you the traps to set out with a Little bit of food/water in it. When the traps are full, call the SPCA or bring the trap in.
It is the best solution for everybody

I read this somewhere and it really worked. Where animals are doing their business in a certain place like it was near my mailbox by the street. Take a gallon plastic jug, put a dozen raw eggs, and a small bottle of hot sauce (like Tabasco) fill the jug with water and shake well. Then keep it somewhere for 10 days.
And then pour it over the area. It will keep the animals away, it works good for about 3 weeks or until a big rain comes and washes it away. Good luck.

I HATE CATS ! they kill baby birds but, I would NEVER do anything to harm the animal ! It's someones "PET" so don't kill it (unless the thought of a little child crying for their pet to come home turns you on, and for some reason, I think it does), just put moth balls around where you don't want them, don't kill the cats, that's just "MENTAL", and mean, and it will come back at you. Cats walk through my yard all the time, I pay no attention to them, and they pay no attention to me, It's my back yard but, I have cleverly figured out that the cat is unaware that it is my yard, and thinks it's just walking outside, so it's not like the cat is tresspassing, it's just being a Cat, you can't get mad at animal for using it's "Instinct".

You can't kill the cats that would be wrong and cruel. I think you can get some liquid to put on the ground that cats hate from your pet shop which cats hate and then they stay away from your garden. Failing that get a big dog, the cats will soon clear off.

Hi there...Common odours which are effective deterrents for cats are:

Citronella works best for cats as well as citrus scents such as orange or lemon (primarily towards cats), cayenne pepper, coffee grounds, pipe tobacco, lavender oil, lemon grass oil, citronella oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, and mustard oil.

"Havahart's Cat Repellent" uses capsaicin pepper and oil of mustard as its active ingredients. It repels by both taste and odor, has a lemon scent.

Every animal responds differently to each of these. Some will not be phased by them and others will be quite revolting.

For training purposes they are applied on items that are to encourage avoidance behaviours and not for use with a squirt bottle as they could harm the eyes or respiratory system. Test each substance and observe to see which works as a deterrent so that accidental injestion does not occur as some could then be fatal.

Coleus plants can be effective, but every cat responds differently so it is uncertain without experimenting.

These are better than killing the cats and keeps them away from your yard too.

Shoot cat breeders !!! Those crazy old ladys breed them to go crap and mess everyone elses yards with total impunity. Animal control is a bad joke when it comes to cats. They are free to come and go. These crazy old ladys feed the strays so they won't suffer#&^$(&%%& ???? What a load of crap.If they are caught feeding strays on the front porch by the neighbors they just feed the strays in the back yard. I hate the thought of dead cats stinking up the neighborhood after they are poisoned but at least that is a temporary problem instead of a forever problem.

Invest in a one of those devices that emits an ultrasonic sound wave that only cats can hear. My neighbour has one and it keeps cats out of the whole street!
