If Chester rolls over and is too close to the edge he's gonna fall off but the real question is why does he like sleeping on the table? My cats are allowed to sleep where ever they want, none of them have ever chose to sleep on the table. Seems a bit odd, is there a heat source close by that attracts him? If so try eliminating that and he should chose another spot in which to nap. Then falling off the table won't be an issue anymore.

My friend's cat, Roscoe, falls off when he is awake! (Ususally when he's playing very actively.)

I have two friends who have had cats - let's say collectively for 50 years - and yes, they seem to do this.

They hardly ever seem to get hurt - which is the best part of this.

But, the cats seem fine otherwise ... one of the mysteries of cats ...
