A fecal examination normally costs about $10-15 and the dewormer can vary tremendously but for a cat to rid him/her of worms it would not be unreasonable to expect $20 worth of dewormer (most likely would be less however). Don't forget about the office visit which typically runs $50-75. You may want to get some flea prevention as fleas pass on worms such as tapeworms to your pet and cause this process to need repeated.

Your daughter's cat needs to be seen by a veterinarian for a physical anyhow and to receive necessary vaccines (legally required is rabies). Rabies typically costs about $10-15.

In Alabama where I live, my vet charged $15 to check my cat and medicate him. For $10 each I got a pill to take home and give to my other 3 cats. Don't give your cat that stuff from WalMart. Only the vet can give the right amount and type for your cat's worms. Good luck!

What I found, when I needed an operation on my cat, was that there is very little standardization of fees in the vet industry. I called several places in the area (Dallas) and found the cost for the same operation varied between $100 and $500! Oddly enough, the cheapest one was in the ritziest area of town.

So my suggestion is get on the phone and ask, call at least a dozen places, if you have that many close enough to be willing to drive the distance.

A fecal flotation test at my clinic runs around 15 dollars. The medication is about 10, depending which medication and the number of days.

Call a vet in your area and ask for an estimate.

particular, this is going to value money even regardless of the undeniable fact that this is mandatory enormously for the pussycat leukemia. this is an somewhat nasty affliction, such as AIDS, and the cat will go through and probable die from it. it is likewise very contagious to different cats, so i could have the cat examined and vaccinated ASAP. in case you think of your cat has hypersensitive reactions, there are meds for that still, this is a seasonal element or this is continual, only like with people. stable success!

Most worm treatments are cheaper than the tests. Save money and use a broad spectrum dewormer, which will kill all worms.
