Its not actually natural for cats to make noises inside the range of human hearing. He's probaby fine but only making noises other cats can hear. Try talking to him more (especially at dinner time).
So if he does meow at you, you can be sure that its definitely for your benefit!

Please dont worry hunny ask the vet for throat losenges for your cat or mabey your cat isnt drinking enough and its throat is all dry!keep an eye on your cat and if it gets worse call the vet for a checkup!

my cat meowed a lot when he was in the vet's office then the next day his voice was gone. it was just cuz he was using it more than usual. nothing's wrong unless kitty starts acting funny.
