Would it burst with temp changes. Would it get too hot or too cold. Need some ideas. Both cats have always been indoors and don't want them bitten by mosquitos and fleas.

I have a four-year-old cat, he's neutered, declawed, and stays indoors 24/7. Over the past few weeks, his hair has been falling out in big chunks. His butt is almost completely bald from his hair loss. He also throws up alot, not just hair, but cat food. Any ideas of what this could be? I haven't changed his type of food or litter, nothing new or unusual in his day-to-day life, just his hair falling out. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

My boyfriend and I just got a new cat that a lady said was nice. Little did we know it has been living on the streets for years possibly and that it was an older cat, which had never been inside. We have two other cats whom I love SO MUCH and my boyfriends mom said we should just put the ferral cat outside. I can't do that. It used to live in a city and we live in a country side. I don't want to just throw her out, seeing as how she knows nothing about this place. And the other problem is SHE HATES OTHER CATS. I don't know what to do or if she'll adjust...any suggestions or words that will help me feel better?

The cat looks really young, she was walking around outside, my fiance walked out the door to go to work, and we noticed her. She was stopping and meowing at cars as they went by. She ran up to him real quickly meowing up a storm, started rubbing all over him -- and hasn't left my yard since. I fed her, and gave her water because she looked so out of place -- and I am a sucker for animals. I can't let her in my house, because I have three cats. BUT, here is my dilemma -- she is really skinny but she has like 4 bumps on her belly -- they are a little larger then an egg would be -- I don't know if she is pregnant?? sick? just had kittens and something is wrong with her milk glands? I am going to try and find someone to pick her up -- but I am puzzled over her condition, and quite worried. Any help would be appreciated.

I have 2 kittens and we live in an apartment. my bathroom is too small for the litter box, so its in a back corner of my living room. I use a covered litterbox with a little flap door to help contain odor. I scoop daily and change the litter every couple of days. i also add baking soda to the litter. is there ANYTHING else i can do??? it stinks really bad right after they poop! does the stink decrease as they mature?

I have 2 8wk old male kittens from the same litter. they seem to play and get along well. but i have heard that 2 cats from the same litter will fight. i dont know wether to be worried or not. my mother in law has 2 female adults from the same litter that co-habitate just fine. are they exceptions to the rule? should i be concerned, or it it a myth?

My cat had ingested something poisioness, i went to the vet and told them what had happened. They told me, since I didnt get paid till the week after, that I should go home or find someone that I could borrow the money from. When I came back two hours later my cat had started to have sezers and she died the minute the veternarian took her into the exam room.

people have pets and can't afford to get them to the vet when they are ill. I've ran across so many questions from numerous people needing answers from others about their pet's health conditions, some being quite serious. Yet there seems to be a popular theme, "I can't afford to take them to the vet". If a person or family is strapped for money to begin with, why enter a animal into the mix? They require special needs that differentiate from humans. They have to have all their appropriate shots, they need to be either spayed or neutered, and when they get sick or injured, they need immediate attention from the vet that could require hospitalization and medications etc. These items are extremly expensive! Before anyone gets a pet, they should contact their local animal hospital and find out how much each shot and procedure is. Then they should weigh the pros and cons of having a pet and then decide. This is just my opinion. What do you think?
