i got a beautiful persian kitten from a breeder 10 days ago. I really think it was a puppy mill type of place, and not sure my kitten had much love shown to her. The problem..she hates me. It is just the 2 of us. she comes out to eat and drink, because the food and water disappears. she uses the litter box..(but i have to put it in bathtub!) She has toys she doesn't touch. she will not let me touch her. She stays curled up under the couch. I wanted a friendly, sweet baby . She is the cat from hell. when I am able to get ahold of her, she hisses, scratches and bites. what can I do?? I don't want to take her back to the breeder!!! Thank you!! she also has diarrhea.. I am sure it's stress..is there a natural way to control this??

I just got a 4 month old kitten from my sister-in-law. The kitten was a stray kitten, but has been indoors for two months. It has been dewormed and vaccinated. I was just wondering if anyone knew what I can do to teach him not to run out the door when it is open. Anyone have any ideas?

This morning, I found my cat in my shed laying down meowing.
Not in pain apperantly. He was fine earlier in the morning.
What would cause this?
And, is it possible he could heal on his own?

Or, should I take him to the .........?

Our kitten got lost 3 1/2 weeks ago and I have looked everywheres for her. I have put up posters, sent out flyers, set humane traps. I feel as though I have done everything to find her. Does anyone have any ideas? I still look everyday but after so long I wonder if she is still alive. What are the chances she could still be alive? If she was wouldn't I have seen her by now. I live out in the country and there is woods and wet lands behind me. Plenty of places for her to hide but of course we have predators like foxes. We only had her 8 days before (my husband) lost her. My children and I miss her very much. She was our first pet. I will try anything to find her. PLEASE HELP US!!!

I'm asking because I have 2 pairs of brother and sister. One pair is 11 months old one pair is 5months old. The older male, will on command: sit, laydown, shake a paw, give kiss, jump up on a chair and roll over (but only half way, he likes his belly rubbed). The female will sit, but that is it.
The little boy has already learnt to sit, lay down and he willl lift his paw but has not yet learnt to shake a paw. The girl will sit but not showing much promise on the rest.
The boys really enjoy doing tricks for the treats I buy from the vet.
The girs like to watch and wait for their treats after we are finished.
Anyone else have observations on queens and toms.

I just brought home a 4 month kitty. I was wondering if anyone knew how many times I need to feed him. I usually fill his food bowl in the morning before I go to work at around 7am. Then I fill it throughout the day, about two more times. The food bowl holds about a cup and a half of food. I am overfeeding my cat?

I just got a cat (he is 3 years old) I brought him home and put him in my room and he ran under my bed and wouldn't come out. We finally took out my bed frame and just left the boxspring and mattress so there was nothing to hide under. He went behind my entertainment center and my boyfriend set up a little hut that he hides under now, but he is more out in the open than under the bed. He has a litter box, food water and toys in there. Last night he finally used the litter box and when my roommate went to check on him because we heard banging upstairs he said he must've been walking around because he was out in the open lying on my bed. My roommate went up later and said the little hut was flipped over and the cat put the towel I layed for him into the water bowl and when my roommate tried to put the box back the cat hissed at him. This morning when I checked on him, the towel was back in the water bowl. I don't know what to do, he isn't eating and I am worried.

A myth only? A famous saying only? Please answer in terms of what u know about cats and "nine lives" part. U may relate it to cats' stories, or perhaps any ghost stories that u've read which contains "Cats have 9 lives" part.

I've had my cat for about 3 weeks. He's 10 years old, from a rescue home and they told us he was an outdoor type cat but so far he doesn't seem that bothered about going out and he only seems to go out when I'm with him and when I go in he follows. How can I encourage him to go out more?
