I am so sorry for your loss. I was wondering if maybe you tried animal control. maybe someone found the kitten and brought it in to them or to a shelter near by. I would say keep trying for a little while longer. Yes your kitten could be just fine remember they are animals and they do have instincts so it is totally possible. I hope everything works out for you.

Sorry to hear about your kitten. Unfortunately, it is very likely that she met an untimely end. However, animals are tougher than we give them credit for. She may have found a place to call home...possibly a farm where barn cats come and go for the most part unnoticed. I would say its a pretty safe bet that you won't find her if you haven't already, not after a month of looking...best to come to peace with it and move on. Again, so sorry you've lost your pet.

Really, I feel awful for you. If you still have the strength to look for her, I suggest you go out at night with a flashlight and look in small places where the kitten can hide. Cats are nocturnal and more likely to be awake at night
Not knowing what happened is awful. My grown cat was lost for 4 days and I went around at night like a lunatic calling his name and making the sounds that he was familiar with. Anyone who saw me and thought I was crazy, I asked if they had seen my cat. Everyone said they would call me if they saw him. i was very lucky that he came home one night at midnight crying and very hungry.
there is the chance that someone took the kitten for him/herself. I did that one time when a kitten hopped like a bunny out of the tall grass and made chirping sounds. So it may have happened again. Putting up signs is a good idea.

Kittens are curious and you have to make extra efforts to make sure they don't get out. Your cat may still be alive but you most likely won't see it again. I know how much it sucks to loose a pet. I'm sorry you have to deal with judgmental pricks that don't know how to do anything but chastise "irresponsible pet owners" when they don't even know the situation. Just hope that someone found her and gave her a good home. That's really the only thing you can do now. I'm sorry for your loss.

Accept reality while keeping hope alive if you need to.
Chances are she has met her end. She would have come back on day two if still alive.
Cats are a dime a dozen, so get another one that's a little bigger and more 'woods' smart. If you have foxes in the woods, expect to replace cats often.
Why not get a tough dog of at least 50 lbs? They can at least defend themselves against predators.

We took a kitten home once. It was at a house with a dozen cats that were obviously mistreated and we gave that kitten a great home! So I hope that someone found your pet and is letting it run their house like ours is.

I am so sorry for your loss. If you have predatory
animals ther is a good chance that your kitten became a meal. Get another kitten. Just a thought
but does hubby like cats?
