Tink is a great mouser, not friendly except on her terms, wanting to stay outside all the time except to eat since kittens have entered picture

That's a cat for you. they have a mind of their own and they do what they want. Don't worry. Things may change and she may stay out more but it's ok. I just lost my old male that brought a little female home to us when she was a kitten and I took in another male since then. She used to be out and about and only saw her when she wanted to eat or get a little attention. Now that Beeker is here she stays around the porch all the time and is always around. She was very stand offish to him for the first month or so but likes his company now. It's different but, it's OK if you know what I mean. all is well in the cat world.

Cats almost always finally get used to new kittens or cats and all is fine. Some are more jealous than others. If Tink is mean to the kittens watch her closely with them and don't let her hurt them. Should be fine in time.
