I have this sweet young cat coming to my garden and into my house, i guess he's around 1,5 years. He likes to get petted and sometimes sleeps over. Since he seems really hungry, I started feeding him, lately on a regular base. I like him and would like to keep him, he is friendly and not afraid. But I have a few worries:
I threated my house against fleas, and it seems to be OK now, but after that it is as if he got more distant to me. I guess he got scared by the strange smell, and the thing I put on him, and also I couldn't let him in to the house while spraying.
Now he often stays away the whole night; -can it be that he has another house and just comes to me "for fun" ? He does seem really hungry though, and he is not fat.
-will he ever be able to become a "housecat" and not a "gardencat" if I for example move to a house without garden?
What about castration and all that; isn't it terrible for the cat? How much money can I expect to spend on the cat on a monthly or yearly base?

Can you read this and THEN tell me that declawing a cat DOESN'T hurt them??? How do you think it would feel to have YOUR fingers severed at the first knuckle?? Sure, you'd get over it but you'd never be the same.

Just tiny little shreds. And I only give them to her once in a while. Today she had 3 pieces the size of a match stick and I won't give her any for days now.

My cat has a birth defect where her lower jaw doesn't meet up with her upper jaw so her lower k9's go up in the upper palate of her mouth when its closed. she has a hard time eating and usually has her tung sticking out. to get the problem teeth pulled it will cost close to 1000 dollars

Lately I've been mixing a little bit of water in with her soft food and warming it up, and she's been drinking that. So she gets maybe a teaspoon of water a day from that, and eats hard food.

Should I try buying a cat water fountain? Has your finicky cat discovered the water fountain and now loves it?

I am thinking about buying one similar to the one in the URL below at Walmart for $30.

Ok, serious question.
I've only ever had one cat before Shirley and it was a boy.
All my pets dogs etc have been male and now I'm keeping Shirley indoors because I think she must be in heat.
I'm not sure if I should do anything other than keep her indoors I REALISE she should be fixed but I have to get her to the city to do that because I dont trust the vet here with my precious girl.
I'd rather she got prego and I found good homes for the kits than take her here, they put down my friends dog and it could have been fixed, but thats another story. They're just not the big soft hearted animal people you wanna leave your bubby with.
So anyway, she's being strange and chirpy and I'm not sure what to expect or if she's gonna like, make ..."mess" or what, she just started acting like this this afternoon.
Please take this seriously, I love my little girl I want her to be ok, and yes, she'll be spayed as soon as I go to the city so scolding me for thaty wont help please.

My cat Bagheera never pesters me when I am eating...EXCEPT when I finish a late shift and grab a McDonalds! At this moment he is climbing all over my workstation trying to nab my Sausage and Egg McMuffin! And as many times I say No, your not having this one! I always relent and end up with just the egg and muffin!
