I don't know where you live, but maybe these links may be able to help. It won't hurt to look into them. they are for financial assistance with both cats and dogs.

Good luck with your kitty :-)

Im sorry to hear that , its hard to get the help you need for your little furfriends when you are on a tight budget been there before and still today .

If your humane society is like mine they wont be able to help you because they are so desperate for help themselves.

What I would do is if you have had a pet before and good standing with your vet they might let you make payments. I know my vet has for me . Now it probably wont be no 20 dollar a month payment the vet wont drag it out t hat long but if you could tell them I would be willing to pay 200 or 300 a month they probably will help you out .

If not is there any close friends you can ask for the money or your parents willing to help you out and you can pay them back ?

If worse comes to worse can you help your friend eat and at least get half of the money saved back and then maybe talk to your vet ?

Im sorry you are going through this I know its rough when you want to help out yoru pets and you just dont have the money for it when its something expensive like this .

This is a hard situation. Many charities exist if your kitty was homeless, but not too many of them are willing to help a cat who has an owner. If your pet really needs help, you could put the surgery on a credit card or you could give her away to the cat coalition in your area. They will do the necessary work to help your pet and then she will be given to a family who can afford her. It is a sad but true reality that pets cost are expensive and ones with a disability are even more so. Sorry for your hardship.

Check out this website www.carecredit.com. I have had about $2000 worth of vet bills in the last year and half and this has been a godsend for me. It is a credit card that a lot of vets are taking. You can still qualify even if don't have stellar credit and the payments are reasonable. If you have a bill over $1000 they even cut you a good deal on interest. I think it is 9%. You can also use it at dentists, eye doctors and other health care providers.

Check with IMOM.org. I don't know what their criteria are for financial assistance and it's good to try anything. It's an organisation dedicated to helping cats, run by volunteers and funded through private donation.

That's In Memory of Magic and if anyone feels they can make as little as a $5 donation it would be wonderful.

I do not know where you live, but in my area there is a place called Pet Clinic Care that treats peoples pets at a reduced charge. I just took one of my babies, (cat) there to get his Rabie and Distemper Vac. and my regular Vet charges $50.00 and this place only charged $20.00. They are monitered and are state approved. The staff are Vets who have their own practice that helps people who are on a fixed income with their pets.

Find a vet in your area that will take payments call all of them in the phone book . If you cannot find then call an animal rescue or shelter and they should be able to give you the name of one in your area. I hope this helps good luck.

Contact your local Humane Society and ask them. Is this a life or death condition? If it isn't, then your kitty will probably have to just live with its tongue hanging out.

If your local Humane Society can't help you, they may be able to refer you to someone who can. Sounds like you really care about your kitty. Good luck.
