my cat is about 3.5 years. and he loves me to chase him! im just trying to figure out if thats normal.. or i just have a really weird cat!

and another question.. i have another cat.. hes about 2.5 years, and he wont play at all.. normally that wont be a problem but since they are indoor cats (most ppl think thats mean but we live by a really bad road where cats are killed all the time, so we keep them inside) and hes getting to become overweight, hes not too bad, but its just going to get worse.. hes afraid of the feather stick and isnt interested in the mice like my other cat is (my other cat loves to play with n e thing and everything)

n e ideas on how i can get him to play, and be a little more active?

**yea i just asked this.. but im updating some things--

i have a laser ponter... 3.5 year old (snowball) loves it luke, the other one, doesnt care.. and we have the tube with the ball inside, same way.. and we feed them Premium cat chow, cant afford iiams

My cat gags when doing the above. It doesn't matter if the comb is new or old, clean or dirty, large or small.

I just adopted an adult (2 1/2 year old) male cat today from a lady and her husband who had to give him up. What's the best way to ease him into this new transition? (new owner, new living space). I know you're usually supposed to have the cat in it's own room with it's litterbox and food, but we live in a 1 bedroom apartment and don't want to put the litterbox in the bedroom (which is where he'd hiding now).

Any advice would be appreciated :-).

thanks!

Our unneutered 3-year-old male cat has been spraying liberally since the spring. Now our house smells like a giant litter box! It's almost impossible to see where his "spots" are, but some smell worse than others. Someome mentioned a product called "Nature's Miracle" but I've heard negative stuff about it too. Should we just call in a pro or rent a steamer? And what about getting him neutered? The vet said it was really to late to stop the spraying, tho' the smell wouldn't be as bad. HELP!

My cat seems to not be using the litter box these days. Instead, he chooses to use a corner in my basement. Why?

I've had my cat for 3 years and he has never done anything bad, has always used the litterbox...yesterday he peed on the carpet by the door and he is always sniffing over in that area..my other cat is now pregnant, could it have anything to do with that? why would he pee like that when he never has before?

She was a stray who may have been abused. Now that she's used to me, she is quite affectionate, but she doesn't like to be held and never purrs. I always thought purring was a sign of contentment.

My cat has been missing for a few days, but she does this sometimes then comes back.(She is an inside/outside cat. And we live in a very small town. So I don't worry to much when she goes away for a few days.) But she was gone a day or two longer then normal, but I did not really think anything of it. Then this morning I noticed that my neighbors had not taken out their trash yet, and they were not home. So I decided I would take it out for them. They have two cans. One of the cans was much lighter then the other, so I thought maybe I could fit whatever is in the light can in the other one. (You know save them from having to carry back up two cans when they got home.) Well I opened the lighter can, and inside it was my cat! They had run her over, and the worst part is that they did not even tell me!!!

an abandoned old male cat adopted my husband, me and our 2 male nuetered male cats. How he managed to survive on his own for many months, we'll never know. He had a strong trust issue in the beginning, but is very loving and loyal to us now. Problem, he's not nuetered and wants to spray everything. Though he gets along well with my other boys, I obviously can't let him stay in the home any length of time. My concern is that he appears to be an "old" boy and I'm not sure if nuetering him will stop his spraying.
He really wants to be inside with us.
