Well, I just got a new cat, and I'd like some tips on how to keep her from scratching my furniture. I've heard of SoftPaws, where you glue bits of plastic on the cat's nails, but is that comfortable for her? And does it work? Are there other ways to keep her from scratching the furniture up?

I accidentally dropped a piece of popped popcorn. My kitten got to it before I could pick it up (she was right by my feet).

I have two 7 wk old kittens. I am concerned because all they do is nurse from mama cat and drink milk from a saucer. They won't eat any solids. Their sibling, who was adopted a couple of days ago, ate solid food just fine at around 5 wks. These two, however, won't touch their food. Should I just let it go? I'm concerned because mama cat has started to neglect them, as is her instinct..they'll be 8 wks on Monday.

They other night, I feed my cat his usual wet cat food (Fancy Feast) he ate it all, but not even a minute later, he threw up everything he just ate on the carpet.

I just adopted a three month old kitten, and she is great! She playes with me and cuddles up to me, but I sit in another room and watch t.v while my dad watches t.v in another room connected to the kitchen. The problem is that the kitten likes being over where my dad is and I don't have much time to spend with it, is there anyway that I could get my cat to come ever to where I am sitting more often? And by the way, we just got her today.

I have a 6-month-old kitten named Meemers and lately when my boyfriend or I come home, she is constantly meowing at us. So I tired to let her outside to play for awhile and that didn’t seem to work, also I try giving her attention and she stops for a while and then starts up again. She’s got food in her dish and water and a clean litter box. What should I do ?

She catches these little shrews and doesn't hurt them so they are still lively but she keeps them just out of reach of the dog's tether. I bring the cat in, then if the critter hasn't run off, I pick it up with a gloved hand and release it in the woods. Then I take the dog in but next time she goes out she goes right to that spot again and barks.

I have a year old male cat who's fixed and declawed. I keep his litter box clean and have not changed his litter brand. He has never done this before. And there are no changes to his environment. I don't understand why he's doing this. And I'm tired of scrubbing the carpet everyday. I can never catch him doing it so I can take him to the box. It's very frustrating.

Well we just got a new cat last week. Her foster mom told me to keep her in one room for a week to get her used to the new house scent. Well its been a week, so this morning we let her out. Now all she does is run around like crazy, and if you approach her she runs away! She used to be so affectionate and loving, but now it seems like she can't do anything but run around! Is this normal? What should I do?

I'm serious! I think my cat has a problem. She is only a year old and she's HUGE. If we leave cat food out she eats it until it is all gone and then cries for more. We have two cats and she will eat both bowls of food at a time! It seems like all she does is eat. I don't know what to do. Our other cat is two years and has a normal build so I don't think it is the cat food. What can we do to fix this problem? We are really worried about her health.

I have about a 6 or 7 month old kitten that is picky on what she eats. Her sister can eat about anything we by. However, she has a habit of scraping the food dispenser out and playing with it and not eating the kitten food. I thought she would like meow mix however, what should I try to feed her?
