I have a 6-month-old kitten named Meemers and lately when my boyfriend or I come home, she is constantly meowing at us. So I tired to let her outside to play for awhile and that didn’t seem to work, also I try giving her attention and she stops for a while and then starts up again. She’s got food in her dish and water and a clean litter box. What should I do ?

What food is in her dish? If you are feeding her cheap grocery store food she may just be hungry! Find a more nutritious food and don't leave it out all day when you are gone.

She could use some company if you are away most of the day. Try a nice young male kitten around her age and they will have a ball together (granted there will be a short period of "adjustment"). Then she won't be completely dependent on you for her recreation and social life.

I'm assuming that she has already been spayed.

My kitten does that, too. He meows and meows, usually just for attention. But if you're really concerned, I'd take her to the vet just to be safe.

I think your kitten has turned into a sexually mature cat and is calling a mate...take the cat to the Vet to have the necessary done.

Little kittens need tons of attention. They are like little kids.

One of our "children" is a talker. She talks when she's hungry, she talks when she's happy to see us, she talks when she thinks we should go to bed, she talks when she wants to play, she talks when she thinks I'm spending way too much time on the computer.....come to think of it, she's kind of like me....yada yada yada. Seriously, your baby may just be a talker...depends on her age as to whether or not it's gonna be permanent.

Has she been spayed? She might be in heat -- in which case, letting her out may not be the best solution.
