I am driving from San Francisco to Los Angeles along the PCH. I'm only taking 2 days to do it - Any advice on the best places to stop? My dog is coming with me.

There's a cat that comes to visit us often, and all the other residents in my complex. It has a collar, but no one knows where it lives. It doesn't seem to be at home much, if it has a home. The last few weeks it has had dry blood on its nose and it sneezes a lot. I don't want to take it to the pound, in case it gets put down, and I don't know if I should take it to the vet, because its not our cat. What should I do?

He acts like he has something stuck to his mouth but I've checked and there is nothing. Also, when do cats start to reproduce. I have 6 mo old brother and sister kittens.

My Aby went to the vet today and had some teeth extracted. My other three cats are growling and hissing at him since he came home. Why do cats do this?

My Aby just had a majority of his teeth pulled at the vet despite yearly visits. Is this a common problem with the breed or just my cat? He eats Nutro Nature's Choice cat food.

We've had this white cat for awhile--even more so when she was a kitten and then rescued her 2 months later--from someone who badly neglected animals.

She was terribly skinny and all skin and bones. My wife and have been trying to fatten her up a bit over time, but we seem to be losing the battle with her.

We try to give her canned, we try to give her other cat food that's formulated to help her, but she doesn't want to gain weight.

And on top of that, she's always throwing up as soon as she eats 7 times out of 10.

I don't know how long we can keep her alive. But taking her the vet is expensive.

Any suggestions?

Are there any instructions that will assist me in trying to rescue my cat from ther roof of my apartment building? It looks like the cat got up there by climbing one of the trees closest to the building. Now of course she can no climb down. There is a spot that if I sit on someones shoulders I may be able to reach her. However with the cat being spooked already, I have no idea how I'm going to get a hold of her. Further more if I do get a hold of her, how can I keep her from scratching me and/or causing me to take a fall? Any suggestions are welcome as long as they are geared toward saving the cat. Thank You.

Just got a 10-12 week old kitten. She was a barn cat, I've put her in the litter box, but she just wants to jump out. I have a rabbit and when I opened her cage, the kitten went to the bathroom in the cage. I'm not going to leave the door open, and I put some cedar chips in the litter box, just because she smelled it. She has worms so I've given her medicine. I don't want runny crap all over the place. She's a sweet kitten, but I can't have it using the bathroom all over my house. And, I am keeping her inside, no options on that one. Any help would be great.

My cat is attacking her kittens like they are toys. She starts by licking them and than she gets them in her front paws and starts to paw them with her back ones while she is biting them! They are only 2 weeks old. This really upsets me, but is it normal? If so I guess I will just have to deal with it!

I bought a basket bed for my cat today and a bag of catnip came with it, but as far as I'm concerned I thought catnip was something that were in cat toys, not something edible.

I am moving. I have a cat who is 8 months old and will be 9 when we actually move in. The room mate has a dog who is 8 yrs old. Both of these animals are females. Niether of them has ever been around the other. Do you think they will get along? I know maybe not right away, but do you think they will learn to live with eachother. Anyone else have experience with joining cat and dog together?

We are unable to find our 9 week old kitten in the house. Is it possible that it may have ran out of the front door.

It is so hard to understand my cats. One loves to be around people, the other only wants you around when she wants you around.

The kittens have upper respitory infections. One is extremely worse than the other. The one that's bad has an eye that's bulging out due to the severity of the infection. I took them to the vet and he gave me antibiotics for their infections. He also said that he won't know if the eye can be saved until the swelling goes down. His pupil looks as if there's a catarak over it & he can't close it.

Do you think he will lose the eye and if so is it better to have it removed? Someone said that if the eye is left in that it may have to be treated daily woth drops & such, so it would be easier on him if it was removed. What do you think?

Oh, I already have a 2yr old cat who is livid w/the intrusion. Will he calm down as time goes on? Right now he is as angry as ever.

Thanks for your help ahead of time.

until it was medication time and then I realized where it was (so shoot me, I had my 2 children home, one of which had 2 doctor's appts and I had a drywall guy over to fix the hole in the ceiling from the a/c guys who put their foot through it - I'm not just an insensitive, uncaring boob - I love my cat).

The meds are Clavamox drops and Prazosin (he has a spastic bladder right now, possibly from some strange cystitis that doesn't appear to produce bacteria).

Anyway, I gave him the doses tonight without even thinking about refrigeration and only after I gave them to him did I see they needed refrigeration. DOH! What do I do? Will it make him sick or just reduce the efficacy of the drugs? Thanks so much.

Hi, I came home today to find that my cat had peed on my bed. I had just replaced this mattress less than 3 months ago and really dont want to have to buy a new one. Does anyone know anyway to get the smell out? I tried cleaning it with a carpet shampooer but dont think that is going to get the smell out. Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance!

i love my kitty so much, and i hate giving her canned tuna when im out of food because it has so much salt and mecury, i cant just go to the neighboorhood store and but cat food there because i buy her a special kind of cat food that is actually good for her, and i always tell my dad a week before i run out that im low, but he forgets and i cant drive yet (6 months) and i end up giving her tuna >P gross. any ideas on what would be better for her? and i refuse to buy her digusting normal cat food. if you knew what they put in it you would agree (if you loved your cat anyway). thanks :)
