He probably has something stuck in his mouth, take him to the vet..
Female kittens can actually get pregnant very young.. 5 months..its not normal, but it can happen ..you should spay your females at about 6 to 8 months.. if you are worried and the cats are indoor cats, have your male done first.. you will be glad you did, the spray from an adult male is awful..
Take him to the vet and ask them to check his mouth while they neuter him.

It sounds like he has some tartar build up or gingivitus and it's making his gums sore... so he licks his gums to make them feel better but he only makes it worse by opening tiny sores in his gums with his tongue. This only leaves his gums open to more infection. Poor baby... I would say try a dab of orajel and take him to the vet to get a chew medication or something. You can also buy little tartar control treats at Wal-mart.

Time for a trip to the vet! Both for the bloody gums and spay/neuter! This week! Six months is a bit early, but not impossible.

He probably has an infection of some sort. You should take him to the vet and get him checked. I don't know much about reproduction. Sorry.

sounds like gingivitis if you do nothing it can effect other organs in his body cause of the bacteria.
also get your cats sterilized straight away- the female first if you cant afford both at the same time cause she will come into heat at around 8 months. ps-- do not breed family with each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
