What are the most used name's for black cats?

I had a cat named Inky. He was a character - would get in the low branches of my Bradford pear tree and tease the dogs. He would lean over and scratch their nose and then run up the tree.
He was really totally black. I think black cats bring GOOD luck!

midnight is the most common , even blackie , then theres sabbath , shadow, smokey some may even call it panther , i have a black cat and i named it stormy because when i found him he was laying in a puddle of water during a rain storm , and the other cat that was near him which was a russian blue we named him smokey i try not to name my cats common names that were all use to hearing like most white cats are called snowball etc ,
TRY naming your cat something related to his/her size or personality i wouldnt want to name a cat based on his/her color because then it will make it easier for someone to walk off with it , name your cat after say someone on your favorite tv show cartoon caracter etc , like if your cat seems to sleep alot call him/her sleepy , if he/she runs fast call it lighning , if it fights alot with u or other cats call him thunder , tuffy or fisty
heres some names i had for my cats as i grew up and that i have now
BABY because when i found her her eyes were closed and i had to bottle feed her
Shadow when we got her she followed my hubby everywhere he went
Precious cause when we got her she was tossed from a car and she was a lil ball of fur
Oreo she was named by someone who gave her to us she is black and white
Tigger my son named it cause he liked whinie the pooh Thundor cause he was very active
Glenda my bro named her after a girl he liked
that was a few names , one name u can call your caty is if he likes to chase things call him tom or jerry

sheiba has been alot of my black cats names it was also the name of a black cat that used to do alot of kitty commercials
...... i see alot of snowballs on here and that i think is my favorite one for a black cat i had a black and white cat once and named it snow ball i would always say she rolled around in snow and snow in arizona always has dirt mixed in with it so she had a few dirt spots!

Midnight, Noir (French for black), Magic, Blackie, Ebony, to name a few. Any name you like works well.

I named my black cat Shadow. No one else has said this so I think it is unusual.
