My Aby went to the vet today and had some teeth extracted. My other three cats are growling and hissing at him since he came home. Why do cats do this?

they growl because they smell the scent of other cats who have been, or were at the vet when the cat went into the vet.

Yeah this happens to me whenever one of the cats has had to spend some time at the vet. As the others said it's just because the cat doesn't smell like it used to & the other cats are confused. They'll settle down in a few days.

Your woman cat got here homestead smelling like the vet. This scent is unfamiliar on your male cat as they perceive one yet another by way of scent. as a result, he would not know the female because of new scent. do not hassle approximately it. provide it some days and finally, issues will return to everyday. :)

because the cat that went to the vet smells like he was at the vet. Other cats dont like that smell and will often hiss at the other cat because of this.

the smell of the vets office. I work around animals and my cats and dogs and horses and other animals treat me different when i come home smelling from work

They growl because they are afraid that they are next in line.
I think they sense that getting teeth pulled isn't a fun time.

They do not recognize the new smells the friends have brought home. Scent is very important for them to identify one another.
