My kitten of 7 months and is finally getting used to roaming my house. I have had her for 5 weeks now from the shelter. She is bonded to my other kitten, but doesn't seem to like humans. Have you ever known a cat that doesn't want to be touched? She runs away from us when she looks at us, and even when we are just sitting around? Am I too impatient?

alright... here lately my cat has gotten into this "lets attack" mode... if my limbs aren't completely covered while in bed (he only does this in bed) he'll scratch the hell outta me... he doesn't do this to my hubby... ONLY me! its weird... but then after he tires himself... or gets tired of being hit in the head a MILLION times, he crawls on my belly, and just lays there.... ONLY on my belly... and only me. Whats up with that?!

I have a male/female cat (both spayed/neutered) and I was just wondering why females have more higher tendency of being a "loner". my male cat is like 4x more affectionate than my female at times. is it just my cats or are anybody elses male/female cats like mine. in my experience, female cats seem to be distant from their owners. why is this? just curious! any answers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

We recently adopted a set of kittens from a local feral mother. One kitten seems to have a normal anus, but the other one's sticks out way more than the other one. It is obvious to anyone who looks at her. I cannot see any redness or what would appear to be sections of bowel or intestine. It basically looks puffy and poochy, like when someone purses and sticks out their lips. Is this common? Is their typically variation between "normal" anus'?Or does it indicate a potential medical condition?

I heard that they can go about 70 metres in 20 seconds. I think this must be incorrect however as a human can run a 100 metres in 9 seconds approximately.

Hello! I am hoping someone can help me! I have a 10 year old cat that I have had for years. He is a mellow, laid back guy that has never messed outside of his box before, even during "stressfull" times(relocation, when my BF moved in, around other pets). Just recently, my mom brought me an heirloom antique sewing machine, and he has started peeing around it. He's neutered, so no spray, just pee. After this happened I cleaned the iron legs and foot with bleach/and vinegar. And two nights ago my BF noticed some poo in the same spot. I dont think he's ill(nose still wet, eyes bright, ears not hot, no change in diet or eating), I just dont get it. I'm not sure what to do, or how to make him stop! Maybe some other pet lover has had the same problem and has good advice! I love him too much to give him up, but I cannot live in a urine soaked home!

There is a particular area that one or mor of our animals like to 'use'. We have tried to get the scent up with pet odor removers from Petsmart and have even shampooed the carpet. Either they KEEP peeing there or the odor remains.

What is the best thing for me to do in either case? Thanks!!

I'm scared to get the cat neutered, I equate this with castration and I'm scared. I don't really want to have it done but the vet keeps telling me that he wont spray if I get it done, I don't believe that. He's my baby and I don't want to have to get surgery unless he really needs it. I'm torn what should I do?

My cat has been sick lately, and is in getting some tests ran on him right now, I have been doing some research from just what the vet has told me and the symptoms alone things are pointing to FeLV. I know I will get all the answers later today from my vet, but I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with this. My cat is strictly indoors, and I am unaware how he has gotten this (if it turns out to be FeLV), I adopted him from a Rescue shelter about 7 years ago, so what he did or have prior to that I'm unsure. I don't know if he tested Negative before, but was acutally positive and it was just dormant in his system. I am praying for the best, but have to research the worst. Any input anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

I have two kittens that I have raised sence they were 3 days old, the mother got killed. The male is wonderful and pretty much listens and stays out of trouble, but my female calico, is into everthing and doesn't listen well. I have tryed just about everything I can do at this point, but when she gets in trouble and punished for it, she get into something else right away. They are both a little over 2 months old. What can I do? I will not give her up, that is not an option!

He's always been aggressive, but recently went deaf. I think he's getting lonely at home while I'm at work. He cries so pitifully it breaks my heart. I think I need to get him a friend. But he's so aggressive, like a pit bull cat or something. I'd appreciate any help.

I rescued one cat 6 months ago he's more moody around me then my friend who is housing him then I adopted a kitten probably around 6 months old( they said 4 months) this is my cat and I am afraid if I am not there a whole lot will he get more attached to my friend and not me? if so is there anything I can do about it? I do plan 2 be there more it's just he got a new job so he could pay his rent and works till 2 am a lot of nights which is pointless for me an hour to his place if we're not gonna get a chance to hang out. I think he'll be able to get better hours soon though.
