He's a very loving, raggedy stray rescued from our back alley.
He's a longhaired cream and orange tabby with light green eyes.
Thanks for the suggestions!

This person said that they had a very sick pet, and asked whether it was OK to kill it in their own backyard. Sounds terrible, doesn't it? However, let's assume that this person is quite destitute and simply DOES NOT have the funds to take the cat or dog to a vet. What should they do???

I think he ate a piece of a plant leaf. I am not sure. Day b4 yesterday he was fine. Yesterday he was really lathargec and throwing up green bile. Today, he doesn't seem so out of it, but he is still not the same cat. If he did eat a piece of this plant and it did poison him, would it have killed him by now??? Is there anything I can give him? He is less than 6 months old. HELP!!! I don't want to lose him if I can help him. Anybody have a really good name for a pure white cat with a really laid back disposition??

She chews the little handle part off and then later, I have to pull it (slowly) out of her butt. How do I get her to stop. I try to hide the bags, but she finds them anyway...

I have a cat with a very round grey and white face. Well recently my wife and I discovered that she has impaired vision. I feed her around 8am and when she eats she will push her bowl around so it is usually ends up a few feet from its original position. Lately when I let her out of her undersized cage she runs into the bathroom where her food is and spins in a circle trying to triangulate the foods position. So we took her to a street vet (the free kind) that suggested glasses? W*T*F We said ok, what ever and got them, they look like John Lennon glasses but smaller for cats. The cat has a very aggressive personality, I guess because she was a stray. Any time we pet or try to hold the cat she will bite or scratch us. Well the last time she did this I slapped the sh*t out of her, right in the face and broke her glasses - she may lose an eye. My question is does anyone know where I can get cheap replacement glasses or an eye patch?

The accident was not my fault and I did stop the car and took the cat to the vet immediately, his owner came too ...unfortunately the cat had to be put down. The owner was very kind and understanding with me, but I still feel really bad about the accident. I have asked the vet to bill me directly for all the costs. Is there anything else you think I can do for the owner and to cheer myself up? (intelligent answers only please)

We just got 2 kittens. I have some Advantage for them at the vet, but they closed before I could pick it up. They have a few fleas and I need to at least bathe them with something.

My cat is constantly wanting to smell, try and eat my food - I do give her little bits like custard, bread, meat...etc and she adores it. Is it ok though?

I rescued a tiny approx 10 wk old kitten from the median strip of a busy highway yesterday. Took it home and took 5 times soaping him with baby shampoo to get all the grime, briars, puss from his eyes so they would open. The water was completely red. I assumed it was break fluid or something. I took him to my vet right away. He wormed him, and diagnosed him with distemper, severe dehydration and malnutrition. He said the red water I thought was car fluids was actually from the flea infestation and was his own blood. I started tearing up right there, so awful a thing for such a tiny creature to endure. He put him on some antibiotics for the puss (apparently its a type of cold) and wished us luck. Said IF I can make him eat and drink he will live but that is a big IF. We also put a tube of flea stuff between his shoulders to kill the fleas and eggs on him. He was wayy to weak and underweight to get vaccines. I am currently force feeding him with an eyedropper every 2 hours.

Advice??

10 days ago my boyfriend and I adopted two sibling kittens that are currently 8 weeks. Ones female the& other is male (Bonnie and Clyde ) Clyde is the one having the litter problems. The first three days we had them home, both kittens used the litterbox. On the fourth day, Clyde started pooping in a box of books. We removed the books and cleaned the corner. He then choose another corner. We bought a 2nd litter box that he has used twice. We remind him many times a day but still find that he is pooping. All of this stuff started the same day we gave them both baths, so we wondered if he is retaliating for that, or if hes just too young to think that way. He is highly territorial, especially with Bonnie-- jealous if we pet her without petting him, or blockng her access to food (we got another dish which helped some on that). Sunday night Clyde jumped onto the couch and onto my boyfriends plate and grabbed the steak right off the fork and ran. Hebitemewhenittookitaway-help?thxs

Dont get me wrong my kitten does lay with me sometimes and spends his time with me when my boyfriend is gone. Does my cat just like my boyfriend a little more? Please dont be rude . I recently started a Street Cat Rescue Website with live streaming video of kitties needing homes & asked what people thought of it. After, I made alot of changes, including taking streaming video off front page, and replaced it with a video clip of the kittens. My concern is that people might think the video playing on the front page is the live video and that I haven't made it obvious enough how to get to the live video/Streetcatcam. everyone, let me know what you think of the changes (or the site if you haven't seen it before). Its at http://www.kittiesinthehood.com
Thanks

i have 2 male cats (ages 8 and 1) and need to be sure that what am feeding them will not give them long-term problems (am feeding them wet canned Friskies). So far, had no problems but someone here said that i run the risk of urethra blockage later on in cat's life.
