Yes, if the father is a longhair. Also, if both cats are mixed breeds, they can carry genes for long hair even if they are not long-haired.

Yes. It's surprizing what can come out of a generic tabby cat! Last litter, a grey tabby mom and a black and white giant cat ended up being the parents to a very unusual lynx kitten, and a ragdoll. We kept the ragdoll, she's awesome.
