I'm never mean to it. I love my kitten and I spoil him and take care of him.

I will really like to know. Is it because my kitten knew my boyfriend longer.

I feel very certain that your kitten doesn't like your bf more because he has known him longer. Cat psychology just isn't like human psychology.

It's pretty obvious to me that he likes you both a lot. He may spend the day with you and then he has the excitement of someone else coming later in the day and he knows when your bf is going to show up, probably after work and getting close to the time when kitty can expect another yummy meal.

Stop worrying. Your kitten knew your boyfriend from the time he was born. He's used to being held and cuddled by him. He feels comfortable with him and it probably reminds him of home and his mommy. It will take time for him to get over his homesickness and adjust to a new human to love. In time the two of you will be inseparable friends. Don't be jealous. Use the time he shares with your boyfriend to your advantage. Pet him while he is in your boyfriends lap, maybe even give him a treat. When he knows that your completely safe to love, he will melt into your arms.

Also, cats have very sensitive noses. They don't like perfumes or heavy smells so don't wear that stuff around kitty.

I've been through this before too. I don't think the kitten loves your boyfriend more than you, perhaps just wants his approval more or sees him as more of a challenge to win over. Kitties are interesting and mysterious. You could always get a second kitty, then things might change....better yet, get a street cat!!

Some pets seem to latch onto other people for reasons we may never understand. Maybe your kitten picked up some bad vibes from you, or your boyfriend fed it something very tasty when you weren't there.

It is just the kitten and who it happened to latch on to. The wifey hates that some of our animals latched on to me. Oh and so do I and I try to get them to leave me alone.

It is the nature of cats to cozy up to those who are not "cat people" (even if they don't show it) just to annoy them.
