I just brought him back from the vet, and he peed all over himself on the car ride home, can i just rinse him off with water without affecting the glue?
Also, can he use the litter box?

Why didn't your vet explain any of this?

He can use the litter box, as long as he did not get declawed. If he got declawed as well as neutered, then he needs special litter that won't get into his paws.

Do not bathe him. Use a washcloth and wipe everywhere except where the stiches are.

Never bathe anything or anybody after surgery, wait until the incision heals, then give/get a bath. Litter box in fine, check now and then to make sure the incision area is not swollen, if it is, you need to get the cat back to the vet. a good thing too if you can take the temp once or twice a day, just for a few days, fever indicates possible infection/swelling

I would just wipe him with a warm damp soapy face cloth and allow him to groom himself when he is more himself tomorrow. He should be able to use the litter box as soon as the anasthetic wears off properly. For the time being keep him somewhere warm and secluded and put the litter box nearby and also some warm water and soft food nearby too.He may have a sore dry throat where the tube was put down his throat during the operation. Warm water helps sooth it.

No you can't bathe him until 12-14 days and yes he can use the litter box, wipe him down with a mooist cloth to help with his urinating all over himself.

that happened to my cat... he peed on himself in the cat carrier on the way home from the vet after being neutered. To me, there was no option but to wash his lower body in warm soapy water to get the urine off... I figured since he already peed all over himself, he already ran the risk of infecting his incision... and that was precisely what happened.. BUT IT WAS NOT TOO BAD... Fortunately, the vet also gave me oral anibiotics for the kitty in case such a thing happened (mind, you - I asked him for the prescription because I just knew from previous experience that a minor infection will take place). Anyway, I washed kitty's lower half, wiped his bum with hydrogen peroxide to disinfect, dried him with hair dryer... and began him on his course of low-dose oral antibiotics. I cleaned his incision once a day with hydrogen peroxide, kept him indoors for 7 days and he was FINE.

Hope this helps.

he can use the litter box. it is better to get him pellet litter vs clay litter. yesterdays news, or any type of pine litter is great. you can rinse him off with water, don't scrub. i'd recommend using cat bath wipes instead, to avoid having him freak out and struggle, ripping open the incision

You would be best not to bathe your cat, for the first night you are supposed to keep them quiet and warm and only feed them a light meal like chicken, fish or scrambbled egg. You should also keep your cat indoors for about a week and yes he should be fine using his litter tray.

He can use the litter box, yes.

Don't bathe him though--he's already been through the trauma. If he really smells bad, give him a light sponge "bath" using a damp washcloth.

First of all it probably isnt a good idea because things have already been tramatic enough and a bath would make thinks worse. If you still want to I would call your vet office first.

You would probably be fine washing him with a wet wash cloth (squeeze it so it's not dripping) and be sure to not get the stiches or glue wet. The litterbox should be fine. You should ask the vet to be certain.
