the vet didn't do much but tell me to feed her more she couldn't really say much because she said the cat is just a newborn and can't do much until it's a bit older but i don't want her to die

I have raised a number of orphaned kittens (5 or 6) and all survived. So, I hope I can help!
DON'Ts:
I would strongly advise against giving the kitten a laxative as the previous poster suggested. Many items are o.k. for humans, but not good for animals...not to mention what dosage for a 1 lb kitten (guessing that's the approximate weight at 2 weeks).
DOs:
Feed it exclusively KRM (or comparable high quality formula/kitten milk substitute). She will eat quite frequently - every 2 hours or so.
A little bloating of her tummy is normal. But she should be going #2 at least once a day.
As a previous poster suggested: take a cotton ball and soak it in lukewarm water. Gently rub her bottom to simulate the mother licking her. Also, you may want to gently stroke her tummy with your warm hand to try to loosen and relax the bowels at the same time.
If she still hasn't gone SOON, take her to a vet immediately...a different vet if need be.
Good luck!!!!

mom cats have to stimulate the cat to make it go potty so yes it does work. you need to keep doing it. also feed her more, kittens eat a lot. she also might be cold so make sur you keep her warm. kitty tummys are usually bigger when they are little so that is normal. talk to her and get a warm cloth o clean her face and all like a mom cat would. try and watch her and stimulate her pooper every half hour if she doesn't improve call your vet and see what else you can do or if the can help you.
also kittens do sleep all the time at about four weeks they get more active
ADDITIONAL INFO: do not listen to jj.b kitten replacement milk is what you ARE suppose to feed the cat until it is around four weeks, at that point you can start to introduce wet cat food or yes boiled chicken (cats love boiled chicken just make sure the pieces are small enought) but you still need to give it the KRM. the KRM contain nutrients that the mom give to the kiten through her milk.
if you live in sac area i can come help, i live out in yuba area.
ADDITIONAL INFO: try going to a craft store and get fake fur or something cat like and make a makeshift mama cat, kinda like the boob thing on meet the fockers that he had for the baby to breast feed with a guy....do you get what i mean.

Make sure that you are feeding her milk that is from the vet ( kinda like formula for kittens) Definatley make sure you feed her every couple hours and yes rubbing the rear does help. look around for another mom cat maybe at a shelter usually they will take on the mothering.

Okay, stimulating the rear end with a warm washcloth or warm wet paper towel works, just be gentle, pretend it is a mother cat's tongue bathing her baby and just do it until she is able, this may take 3-4 minutes the first time. Also, keep her warm, talk to her and just love her. Raising orphan kitties is tough. I wish you luck, and I'd like to hear how your kitty is doing. If I can help answer any other questions about her, I will be happy to.

Stop feeding the kitten MILK!!! That stuff is not good even for healthy adult cats, much less a kitten. The Milk we buy from the store causes cats urinary tact to clog and cause death. Since your kitten is taking nothing but Milk, its very likely the milk has damaged its frail young body. Kittens need to nurse for at lest 6-8 weeks from a Nursing Cat.
Try feeding it boiled fish or chicken. Dont fry the food, boil it. Dont add butter to the meat or any sauces to 'spice it up' Plain boiled meat. And dont boil the meat for have an hour. A few minutes is all fish need and chicken you should cut up into tiny kitten pieces. Let the food cool down before giving it to the kitten. Feed the kitten with your fingers and make sure what you give the kitten is mushed up NOT chunks.
Asking a vet what would be good to feed the little critter, wouldn't hurt either.
Good luck to your kitten.

I have had that problem before. We had to get a damp cloth (baby wipes work perfect) and gently rub the kitten's bottom to stimulate it to poop. The mother cat is the one who usually does that while they are licking & cleaning the babies. It really does work. Sometimes it takes a few tries before it helps especially if it never pooped.

I had the same problem. Give the kitten water nad see what happens. Also massage the kittens belly and it might also help it poop. I hope the kitten feels better if that doesn't work I would try a different vet.

i know this sounds gross but you may need to stimulate the kitten to get her to poop. The mother cat stimulates kittens by licking them. Oh, I was told to give my cat water not milk. Maybe shes constipated.

I hope your kitten feels better soon. I understand how you feel I have had several cats and can tell you this do NOT feed the kitten cow's milk because it's not good for them, it can make them sick.
