When you use the house spray such as indorex or stay kill - these are the better ones to use - do you hoover for ever???
the trick with the household sprays are to hoover for ages after!
then spray them again and hoover - treat your cat aswell - frontline combo also does the house - thats the one you need - this needs to be done on the cat once every 4 weeks.
do you have any other animals that are in the house - as they will need doing to
fleas can live dormant in the carpets for up to 2 years!
so spray the house and hoover, hoover, hoover - then hoover some more and repeat the process!!!!!

Sounds like you have done your best, but what flea spray have you bought? Front line is the best, the spray all over not the drops. Soak the cat in it. She/he will not be impressed... Take the cat in the garden and make sure the liquid sinks right into her coat A little bit of time and attention is worth while here then vacuum the house and spray the carpets. Wash all the cats bedding and collars or anything she has.
I wish you the best as have a few animals here and the hot weather has triggered off a few flea problems, but as we progress to winter your main concern is the carpets/bedding as that's where the eggs are for next spring. Your cat will be OK for the winter months but unless you address the egg infestation it will rear it's ugly head next spring

If you can see them then you need to bring in a specialist. They are in the yellow pages. You will have to life everything that you can off the floor and they spray with a chemical that is not harmful to you or your cats. The fleas will die in a day or two. You need to get this done soon as the weather is still warm and that's what makes them hatch. The best flea treatment for your cat is Frontline which is available from the vet. Over the counter sprays do not work once they have hatched. With Frontline it goes on the back of the neck and soaks in to the cats blood stream. The fleas bite and drop off and die. Fleas also grow immune to household sprays and can become a super flea breed (I'm not kidding).

You need to go to a vet and get Frontline Plus. It kills 3 out of the 4 stages of the flea life cycle. You need to use it for at least 3 consecutive months in order to get effective results. Flea sprays and dips and house sprays don't even work as well as this stuff does. Wash all bedding and any removable coverings you can. Vacuum a lot.

First of all sprays are not usually effective because they do not kill the unhatched fleas. Therefore you should get your cat on a flea control program I know they are a little pricey but in an extreme situation like this i think its worth it. I would say Revolution is the best we use it in our animal shelter and it kills fleas and the eggs. Also for your house i would suggest getting a professional to come in because this sounds like you are big time infested. get the cats on a program first and then get the fumigator to come in. Good Luck!

you need an exterminator and a vet, the over the counter stuff isn't strong enough, the flea spray from the vet knocks 'em dead with one blast, I swear you can see them all drop off w/ one shot of the vet flea spray. The house needs an exterminator, I would get new clothes or lotsa Lysol and bleach.

You need to get Rentokil in. You need your house fumigated, and you should take the cat to the vet for proper flea treatment. Steam your carpets and soft furnishings, it will kill any fleas or flea larvae. Good luck, fleas are a nightmare!

You could try getting a fumigator in - extreme, but in this case it sounds like you will need something more than just flea spray.
Check with your Pharmacist / Vet as there may be stronger more effective medication available only from them.
