Tabbys are great outdoor cats and not to mention great hunters and fighters. I have two and they love the outdoors.

Any cat because all cats love the outdoors. Maybe if you go to an animal shelter you could ask for a cat that has come from a household with dogs?

A Norwegian Forest Cat is a hardy, smart, tough breed that can practically live in the trees. They were mentioned in Viking mythology and are admirable outoor/indoor cats.
But they are just as likely to chase and attack dogs, as befriend them. These cats are dominant and good fighters, although friendly with people.

Why do you want you cat to stay outdoors, Cats should stay indoors with you. Cats can get killed by wild dogs if they are kept outdoors. Maybe you can get one of those feral cats and let it go free in your woods, but then again it might get killed my other animals outside.

A rescue cat, an alley cat...Norwegian forest cats, Maine coon, Abyssinian and Somali are breeds good for out-of-doors. They love freedom.

There's no specific breed that does well outside (to my knowledge) they are animals it's fairly instinctual, but if you want one that's good with dogs your best bet is to get a kitten and raise it. You'd want to keep it inside for a couple months so it gets a sense for it's enviornment and then let it outside (so they know how to get back home).

The best outdoot cat you can get MUST HAVE LEGS!
Ive seen people dragging around torsoes on a lead but NO! NO! not how you do it... it needs legs... and dont try sticking fake legs on either... nice real tender tastey legs. best served with chips, salad and ear muffs.

why would you get a cat that you plan on leaving outside? there are too many diseases that a cat can contract by being outside as well as they can get into fights with feral cats and other wild animals and there are many people out there who hate cats and shoot bb's and guns at them as well as abusing them in other ways...please if you want a cat as a pet please keep it inside
