I have a 17 year old (actual years old) long haired calico named Ginger.
I used to have a short-haired calico named Spook.
He fell off the roof.

Calico cats are so nice, my friend has a Calico, and there is a Calico outside that I put food out for every day. They are so neat looking.

SOME FACTUAL INFORMATION...
"Calico" is a non-official made up term for the standard color variation "tortieshell"...meaning your cat has 3 or more colors...either patch patterned or deluted. I just don't want you to think that a calico or tortieshell is actually a breed. Many actual breeds do carry tortieshell (aka calico) color markings.
By the way...Only female cats can be tortieshell (aka calico) and their litters can carry every color variation & pattern under the sun....including flame, tabby & colorpoint.
For the record...tabby is also a standard colored pattern variation...including blotched, striped & mackeral. Just like tortieshell...tabby is a color pattern, not a breed.

My calico has some Siamese in her, so she is really long and lean... she's just a gorgeous, sweet-natured creature. I adore her!
