Cats switching their tails can be for a multitude of reasons.
Look for other clues--are his pupils dilated? A sign of anger,
fear, or potential aggression. Even the posture of your kitty
will alert you. Sometimes my kitty just "flips" the tip of her
tail as a response to my talking to her. She'll switch it violently
if someone upsets her, say, by grabbing her suddenly &
trying to hold her if she's not in the mood. Hisses & bites often
follow. I'd suggest you don't judge JUST by his tail! By the way, I've also heard cats switch their tails ONLY when they're angry,
but long experience contradicts that concept. Don't believe
everything you hear! If you'd like to learn more about cats, (in

It depends. Sometimes on the personality of your cat. We have a cat that wags her tail like a dog(when she's happy). Buty usually when they twitch their tail, it means they're annoyed.

Like yet somebody else reported, my cat will wag his tail somewhat around me and wrap it around my leg and then proceed to climb up me lol. My cat likes to be a nuisance (he's one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old and a male...explains all of it :). ) so i'm a nuisance real lower back to him. I picked him up and could communicate over with him and he will desire down yet i'll purely shop conserving him so then he started tapping his tail on me to instruct he's annoyed. i think of it could bypass the two techniques. If she hasn't attacked you yet then it is probable showing that she's content cloth.

Seems like a lot of what they are feeling is expressed through tail movement. One basic thing to remember is that when the tail is erect, the cat is happy and approachable. When it is down, give it room. My cat twtches the end ofhis tail in response to a wide variety of stimuli, but when I offer him cat treats or ask him if he wants to eat, his tail goes straight up and he trots right to me.

when the cat moves its tail side to side it means he's annoyed
when the cat's tail is straight up he's happy.
it all depends of what's going on at the moment.
