We've had 4 black cats, including one with tuxedo markings. Our current two are short-hair but the other two were long hair, including one that was a Norwegian Forest Cat (sort of like a Maine Coone)

There is a clear, puss-like fluid flowing slowly out of my cat's eyes. He seems to keep closing every few moments. I think it may be conjunctivitis. My mom has some antibiotic eye drops that she uses when she gets pinkeye. Should I give it to him,or forget it?

I have a 6 year old female Javenese cat. She's pretty tiny, probably the runt of the litter. She is not fixed...but I heard that spaying her can increase her health? Is it ok to get her fixed?

what do you do with a cat that has maggots feasting on it's eye? I called the vet, they thought I was crazy and was reporting a dead cat (vet operator: "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do, mam.") BUT NOOOOO!!!
This cat is one hundred percent alive, however may be loosing life too quickly to do anything about it's sad, sad situation.

I am a person with a HUGE heart and could see myself just killing the cat. How would I "lay the cat to rest" with out really hurting it myself?

NO DUMB *** ANSWERS ABOUT GETTING A DOG OR A GUN OR SOMETHING IGNORENT LIKE THAT, PLEASE I WOULD REALLY LIKE A SERIOUS ANSWER, FOR ONCE. PLEASE???!!!!

I just got a kitten who is about two months old from a shelter, where he had obviously never been around people who were eating things he couldn't have in front of him. I've had to take away his wet food because it was giving him the trots so he's eating less as he's getting used to his dry food all the time. Every time we sit down for a meal which inevitably has meat in it (especially fish & poultry), he goes absolutely nuts trying to get at what's on our plates to the point where we feel that we need to lock him in another room with his own food to get him to stop because he's biting and clawing us to bits. One of our problems is that we don't have a table to sit at right now as we're moving shortly so he's literally climbimg up our clothes as we sit. Is there a different food I can feed him that will content him and not give him kitty diarrhea?? I feel like I'm depriving him.

her litter box is clean, and she uses it other times. she continuously goes to one corner of the living room. if i hear or see her, and take her to her box, she will go there. i have put stuff on the carpet to disguise the smell, but it doesnt help. is there a way to get her to quit going

Not looking for a lecture about keeping them inside. They like to go out and the area I live in has little traffic. I'm wondering if a bell on their collar actually works?

I know that greens are important to a cat's health, but my cat never goes outside so he doesn't get to eat grass and stuff like other cats. Also, he's chewing up my silk plants I guess because he thinks they are real. (He came from the animal shelter, he was a stray so he's used to outdoor life - but where I live, it's just not safe for him to be outside)

Anyway, I'm looking for a houseplant that is non-toxic to cats. i need something relatively low maintenance. it doesn't have to flower or be real pretty, as it's sole purpose will be for the cat the eat it.

I've tried those little "cat grass" kits you can buy at the store, but the grass grows and then dies after a few days. I need something that continues to grow.

Thanks.

In the Tampa/Brandon area. I perfer it to be under 3 months old and male. Any suggestions?? I do not want to go to Animal services; the last time I went there I had to put the kitten to sleep only after 2 weeks because he was sick.
