He's playing with you as he would play with his mom or sibling. It is ok to allow it while he is still teething but as he gets to be 3-4 months you should gently discourage this biting by holding his face and saying a firm no. If he gets more aggressive hold him by his scruff (where a mother cat holds her kitten on his upper back below the neck and support his rear end) look into his face and say no and then don't play with him for 5 minutes or so.This should work it has for me. Also have a toy handy to substitute for your hand this way he gets the idea its ok to bite the toy.

Well it's hard to say, what are you doing when he starts biting? I do know that when cats play they tend to bite each other. I have 2 cats and when they really start intensely playing it looks like they're going to hurt each other with the biting. So it could be that your kitten might just think you're a big cat and wants to play with you. Here's something to try if it really bothers you. When he starts biting you, look at him and firmly say "no". You might even lightly tap him on the head when you say "no" but you have to be very careful with how hard you tap him on the head because you don't want to hurt him. You just want to get his attention to let him know that it is not ok to bite you. It may take a little bit but he will learn that you are the one in charge and stop biting you. Hope that helps.

most kitten bite when they r younger because its there way to play with you. but the kitten doesn't know that its not ok to bite. if you don't want your kitten to bite when it gets older let the kitten know that its not ok to bite. do this bye tapping the kitten lightly on the nose and say no every time it bites u, after time the kitten will know that it shouldn't bite. or get it some toys that have cat nip in then and have ur kitten play with that when it starts to bite you. idk how but that does help too!

I have a cat and i remember when she was very little, she would bite my hand, and yes, i'm pretty sure it's her way of teething. Buy her stuff that she can bite on from a pet store. I'm sure if you ask any person that works at a pet store will give you the right thing that your cat needs.

this is their way of playing, however don't let them bite you--start correcting the behavior now--or every time you go to pet them they will "bite/play attack" your hand, we just would stop petting once they bite, hide your hands behind your back, this seems to help, then once they calm down re-pet it's a cycle!
