In the Tampa/Brandon area. I perfer it to be under 3 months old and male. Any suggestions?? I do not want to go to Animal services; the last time I went there I had to put the kitten to sleep only after 2 weeks because he was sick.

I don't know about where you are, but often here there are ads in the paper for kittens free to good homes. Try there.

Good luck!

Try a local animal rescue shelter - I've found a link in your area that I'll include @ the end here. I live in NY and last October adopted a beautiful tiger calico thru "Piece of Heaven" a local shelter who was at a 'pet adoption day' at our local PetSmart store. She cost $75 but came with ALL of her shots/worming/rabies, etc and she was already spayed. If you don't find anything via the link, visit a couple of the larger retail pet stores in your area; they usually have animals there for adoption thru said shelters. Good luck!!!!!!

I am sorry that you lost the first kitten. I would wonder what was the reason for its death. If it was FIP there would have been no way the shelter could have known that the kitten was vulnerable. Most shelters routinely test for FIV and feline leukemia and don't adopt out kittens who test positive for that. They don't adopt out kittens that are sick enough to die in two weeks either.

Would you expand your question as to what was the first kitten's cause of death?

They have cats at petco in Florida. We saw a kitten there when we visited and we would have taken it home if we hadn't had to get on a plane the next day! Good luck, I love my kitties too! <3

I know you've had a bad experience, but the ASPCA really is the best place to go. Those are cats that desperately need homes.
Look on www.petfinder.com or .org, you can be specific in what you're looking for.
