You can bathe the kittens and mom in Dawn Dishwashing liquid. This will kill the fleas on them now, but does not have a residual effect to keep prevent reinfestation. It's safe for the kittens though since they are not old enough to use anything else.

You could probably put a topical medication such as Advantage or Frontline on the mother, but the kittens are too young to do this. They are old enough for a bath, but you must take extreme care that they don't get water in their noses, or get chilled. Before you bathe them, go through their fur with a flea comb to get out as many fleas and eggs as possible, especially on the head and ears. Also do this to the mother before you put the medication on her. Then wash the kittens with a gentle pet shampoo (not medicated), or even a human baby shampoo, taking care like I mentioned not to let water get into their noses. Kittens are very susceptible to upper respiratory infections. Dry them thoroughly, and place them in a warm area preferably on a heating pad on a warm (not hot!) setting wrapped in a towel.
After this, check them frequently for fleas, and use the flea comb on them until they are old enough to handle flea medication. If you have any reservations about doing this yourself, then take them to the vet and let them handle it. Flea infestations can be very dangerous for small kittens, causing anemia and sometimes death if it isn't handled soon.

the only way you can get rid of the fleas is bathing you will have to drown the fleas by submerging the kittens and the mother into warm water (not their heads) warning: the fleas are going to run to their face and ears so you will need to have a washcloth available...once the mother is no longer feeding them you will be able to put drops (preferably advantage or frontline) the cheap ones you buy over the counter are poison...if there are alot of fleas you may have to bathe more than once, however, only once per day...after the bath make sure that you towel dry them good so they dont get sick...good luck!!!

Get Capstar from the Vet and give it to the Mother cat, but not the kittens until they are six weeks of age. One of these pills for Mom will kill all the fleas on her, and continue killing for about 24 hours. This works in about one hour on most cats and is a terrific product. Just be careful with the kittens. Follow some of the advice of your other answers about them.

You can use a flea shampoo or medication on the mom, but not on the kittens. For the kittens, just try a mild cat shampoo (nothing medicated). Comb them well with a flea comb before and after the bath.

Don't use any of those stupid "chemical filled, kill your cat" products. All you have to do is buy a flea comb and comb the cat every night. Give the cat a bath with baby shampoo like every other day.

We used straight up palmolive dish detergent. Some vets would say it's a bit harsh on their skin but we used it on a kitten who was not even a month old and it worked great. Also used a flea comb.

Good luck

DO NOT get them flea medicine. It's too strong for young kittens. Take those little Cuties to the vet, along with their mom. They'll know what to do.
