could be a tumor but more than likely your cat has had its tail dislocated by either you or someone else accidentally stepping on it or do you have little kids that grab the cat by the tail toddlers are notorious for grabbing animals by the tail and yes the tail can be dislocated or completly shattered. Take it to the vet because the lump probably is an infection and even if it is a tumor there is a chance that the tail will have to be amputated if you wait too long.

Has she always had it? Some kittens are cramped in the womb and their tails can have crimps in them because of that.

You must have had the kitten to a vet by now. He can examine the lump and tell you what it is.

It could be a tumor or someone could have slammed its tail in the door thats what happend to are dog like because when it was a puppy it had this huge bump in its tail and we took it to the vet and the vet said he got his tail jammed in a door and the mbumms still there
