I think I have to put my 13 year old cat down. I'm 27 and got her when I was 14. She has been peeing and pooping all over the house for the past three months.
I called the vet and scheuled the appt. Should I have made it clear that it should be to put her down? My land lord came by the other day and FREAKED out by the smell---I shampoo the carpet almost daily.
I feel like I'm betraying her-------she hasn't been the same for months she just lies around and looks out the window---Is it time? I cannot imagine life without her. High School, College. I just don't know what to do.
Whatever happends I can't keep her.

My kitten is 4 months and she acts and looks just like a little doggy. She is a dark orange/ light brown kitten with a white belly and legs and she has spots on all her legs (its so adorable!). Also I recently found that she drank water from the toilet(!), she craves for my attention and she doesn't mind water at all. All this is cute but weird at the same time.

I adopted a kitten that someone had found on the street and cared for the past few days. It is estimated that she is about 4 weeks old. Looking up cats online, I think she is a blue point siamese kitten. I have never had any cats, and grew up in a "dog household" so I'm not sure what to look for. She is eating babycat food, she didnt want any kitten formula, and is using the litterbox regularly, her stool is soft and a dark greenish color and she is peeing fine. So I'm assuming she is healthy. I know to take her to the Vet at six weeks, is there anything else I should look for in the meantime? Thanks in advance!

I went away for a week and left my cat at home, but my dog with family. When I brought my dog back, the first thing the cat did was attack her.. and now we either have to have the dog or cat locked up, because they won't stop fighting. Why is the cat behaving this way?

Before the cat never used to attack the dog randomly, only when she was being bothered by the dog..

i have a prejudice against dry cat food because i once lost a cat to UTI and i suspect that it was becuase i fed him mostly dry cat food... he was 8 years old when he died... Now i have another 8 year old and my vet tells me that i should feed him some dry cat food, and not all moist food all the time - for his teeth (he had dental work recently)
So, if anyone has a cat fed on dry food and lived till 14 without UTI - then I just mught be convinced

we just moved to a new apartment community... my cat insists on holding his pee and poop in until i get him outside in his halter and leash for walkies - then he sprays... sprays... sprays... on plants, parked cars, lamp posts... can it be he is just marking territory since there are a lot of residents who walk their dogs here... OR please, can it be a sign of something more sinister like kidney disease?
