I had a roommate once, and we had two cats that had been together since birth. We moved apart, and I took one and she took the other. The cat she took meowed all the time for a year and pissed her off all the time. She moved to another apartment with two roommates, but he still didn't stop. So, I gave her the other cat, and now that he is reunited with his brother he's doing much better.

In other words, your cat might be lonely. Try getting another cat. This is much easier with males than with females because males are much less territorial, especially if they are neutered. Either that or give you cat more love and play with him more. Good luck!

For a start, it's his job. Some cats just love making a noise. One in particular......he knows who he is.....yes you, Polo.........

All you can do is try to stop it annoying you. You could get him looked at by the vet just to make sure nothing is wrong.

He wants to be played with. Cats are social animals who like to play. I suggest buying him some toys that you can use to play with him, like the $2 fishing rod/bird type toys where you dangle it and he grabs at it.

Talk back to him. If you talk to him everytime he meows, he will be satisfied and probably go to bed. Maybe he finds you annoying because you are so quiet!!

If it's just recently, it could be that she's in heat. It usually lasts about a week. If she's fixed, or it's a he, then I have no clue. My three cats are very quiet.
