One Of My Cats Does The Same Thing, And It Usually Means Either Litter Box Full, Or She's Hungry, Or Even Just Wants To Play.

My cats always do everything they can to wake me up in the morning so they can get some food. Probably the same for yours.

do you usually give it something special in the morning? like wet cat food or a treat?.... thats what happened to my cat or it may be that it is the time that you usually wake up and it is trying to get you up

Usually when the sun's up.....the cat's up. If it's a dull or rainy day, or in fall when the days are shorter, your cat will probably let you sleep in a little more.

is your cat meowing at you or at something else? if it is meowing at you, then it is for attention or some sort (affection, food, etc).

Maybe he's happy to be up and alive, or perhaps wants some milk. Or that's his way of acting like a rooster.

FEED HIM AND PET HIM AND HE WILL THEN SHUT UP!
I get those little baggies of wet-cat-food and I give one to my cat every day when I wake up
