A few times a year, my cat gets little flakes of skin that are visible in his fur. It doesn't seem like a huge deal, but if it's the result of poor diet or something, I'd like to correct it. Any tips on what causes it or would get rid of it? Thanks!

My beloved kitty was okay one day, then the next morning, couldn't move his limbs or lift his head. He died before we could get him to the vet.

I recently adopted two brother cats to keep my 2 year old female company. I was drawn to one of them immensely, but the other brother was spooked and shy. The lady said that I couldn't adopt one singly, so, after receiving reassurances from the volunteers at the shelter that the shy brother would open up quickly, I brought them home.

I've quarantined them in a room of my house with all the necessities. I've kept my first cat on the other side of the door. After a day of having them separate, I placed my old cat in the room. The kittens were curious, but my old cat went ballistic. I took a few scratches from her taking her out. I'm following the advice of the websites and introducing gradually, but two things aren't working: the old cat and new kittens are not getting along at all, and the painfully shy kitten is painfully, violently shy. If I approach her bed area at all, she darts away, lashes out, hisses, spits. What do I do?

One tried to get away by climbing a metal light pole. Silly cat didn't make it.
That makes it 25 cats in 5 days!

She's an indoor cat, got out one night and has been paying for it, trust me! I've tried all the powders and dips and shampoos... they're still after her!

If fed sweet stuff, cats become diabetic and may start losing their fur- is this a myth or is it true?

I have 5 cats at home now, the 5th one being a recent addition- a persian cat, the type I've waited for, for a very long time. But it's a male, and so are 3 of my other cats, so the persian is extremely territorial. And it hisses and bites the other cats when they come close to where it is. Can I handle all 5, by somehow keeping the persian and the others in separated quarters of the house? Should I send the persian because it doesn't get along even though I've longed to have a persian since I was a little kid? Or should I send away some of the old cats to accomodate the new one?

I have a stay kitten outside my house. It looks to be atleast 3 months at the most. No mother, and its afraid of humans. I feed it but still, Im not sure if it has an owner. If it did I think it was beat because its hand shy, you raise your hand it hightails away. Im worried about it cause theres some nut jobs in my neighborhood not to mention almost everyone has a dog. How can a catch it? My mom wont buy a trap but is there a way to make a home made one? Its kinda skinny and meows A LOT.

I just bought my hubby new sneakers and we gave the kitten the box to play in. He loved it until he bit down into it and his front tooth broke off! It is the lower right fang (the long sharp one.)
He is about 5 months old now... Is this normal? Do Kittens lose their teeth? It is just a cardboard box!

***And before you tell me to get off Yahoo and go to the vet... Remember, it is Sunday!

Jenny... are you out there? You were so helpful last time! Know anything about kitten teeth?

My husband just brought home a cute little kittens. She's infested with flras, so we bought this big bottle of Dee-flea shampoo stuff. A girl who works at a pet store said we should get it. We've already dipped her like 4 times. The fleas don't die, we just have to try and pick them out ourselves when the fur is wet, by our fingersor the flea comb. They just won't go away, I feel so bad for her. We're getting there, but is there a better way, and advice???
